We went here on a Tuesday when everything else seemed to be closed (low season). We decided to have a late lunch after a trip to the top of the Fronalpstock, using two chairlifts to get there, so at about 3.30 we wandered along to this charming place which is very close to the top of the fantastic funicular (we believe it’s the steepest in the world, and a very funky tubular shape). The place was humming! We sat outside in the sunshine and a kind waitress gave us a good table. We chose to eat a salad and mushroom risotto, both absolutely delicious. The food came quickly and efficiently and served in very unusual and pretty chinaware. We really loved it here and would highly recommend a visit, whether you’re waiting for the next funicular down, or just need to stoke up. Prices in the village are slightly higher than elsewhere, but not outrageously so and you get good food! Go!
We were here with friends from the Bernese Oberland. After the wonderful trip on the new railway (steepest in the world) we walked to the restaurant that had been recommended to us. There is a large terrace are, but we chose to go inside. The staff were very friendly, the service fast, and after an aperitif we ordered lunch. Fast and efficient with a limited menu that covers all the needs of the sport/ski enthusiast. Very good wine cellar, which is quite rare in alpine family resorts.
Das Restaurant ist sehr schön gelegen, direkt an Skipiste und Skilift Sternegg. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen war sehr gut, speziell die Sparerips. Die Auswahl ist gross. Es hat eine sehr grosse Weinkarte mit vielen Tessiner Weinen. Die Preise bewegen sich eher am oberen Rand. Wir hatten reserviert, aber es waren nur zwei Tische besetzt.
