Stickleback West Coast Eatery Inc

So we ended up at Stickleback three nights on the bounce, as well as numerous take out boxes, which must be a new record for me in terms of patronising one place in such high volume. Truth be told, there isn't much choice in and around the town of Sooke, unless you undertake a thirty-minute schlep into Victoria… but we’re more than a little lazy, so we didn't bother with that.
Another truth is that there was no need to look further. We were staying five minutes away, at the fantastic Moonlit Cove B

The menu lists items as gluten-free, but they are not safe for individuals with celiac disease due to cross-contamination issues (such as a shared deep fryer). Even though I enjoy their seafood chowder, I consistently get ill after eating it.

I do not recommend trusting the gluten-free products at this restaurant. I was contaminated here and I am aware that others have been in the past. It is best to avoid this place.

Wow! Just WOW! Really doesn't need anything else said about this popular and busy eatery. I don't give 5 stars very often -- this one might even deserve a six!

Ugly Americans in BC, had dinner x 2 here. Desert rats got cold in June, and they brought out blankets for us. Good food, better people. Enjoyed it. Go there.

Laid-back west-coast with decent comfort food. Relaxing in the sun. Seems to be a local eatery where everyone shows up. Nice fast-ish food
