Het prachtig gelegen Stillupperhaus op ca 1200 mtr hoogte is een mooie plek om lekker te relaxen, heerlijk te wandelen , bergtochten te maken naar verschillende berghutten , en om 's avonds na het heerlijke avondeten nog gezellig wat te kletsen met de joviale eigenaars of de overige gasten . Dit berghotel ligt afgelegen , ca 12 km van uit Mayrhofen , en is , uitsluitend voor gasten , met de auto of taxi bereikbaar . Het ontbijt is overdadig , uiteraard koffie met brood en broodjes , diverse vlees- en kaas-soorten , Yoghurt, verse melk ,gekookte of gebakken eitjes ,etc. etc, Het eten 's avonds bestaat altijd uit een zeer goed drie-gangen diner van een uitstekende kwaliteit en kwantiteit . Wij reizen best erg veel , maar hier komen we ieder jaar terug om telkens weer opnieuw van alles te genieten .
Restaurant is located inside Stillup valley, after about 90 minutes of slow walk from the car parking (to get to the parking you have to drive on maut road (cost for one car: 7 eur)). It is easy to reach thanks to asphalted road. Restaurant is carried by a family and prepared dishes are really very good. You can take a table inside the building or on the sunny terrace (and observe beautiful and very steep slopes of the mountains). I have tried here a Kaiserschmarrn and Tiroler Gröstl. Both of them were very tasty and portion was big enough. Prices are reasonable and adequate to the prepared food. Menu presented only in german language!
When I am on vacation, I enjoy not having to rush. However, waiting for the menu, waiting for the order being taken, waiting quite a long time for a simple dish (and only few guests) waiting for the bill etc made me downgrade this otherwise nice restaurant in a very lovely location with fantastic views of the mountains.
