I have been a long-time customer at the Stockman and have always appreciated the food and the staff, especially since the recent ownership change. However, my recent visits have been disappointing. The servers and bartenders have been vocalizing their complaints loudly in front of customers. We had to interrupt their ongoing complaints just to request our drinks and dinner. The manager spent over thirty minutes venting about covering other shifts and the communication issues with the owner. Additionally, there was another customer—apparently the girlfriend of a cook—who was shouting profanities throughout our meal. If you're on the lookout for a bar that's more than 120 years old, this is definitely the spot for you. It has that charming, old-fashioned aroma (in a good way, I promise!). When we visited for lunch, it wasn't crowded at all. We ordered the jumbo wings, which were not only large but also deliciously crispy. There was a spice that stood out a bit, but we requested chili sauce on the side, so it might have been better to mix it in directly. We also tried a burger that was cooked to perfection. The service was decent, but the prices were shocking. I ordered an $8 salad, which arrived on a very small plate. It included some greens, a few tomatoes, a bit of cheese, and dressing—certainly not worth the $8! We also ordered a sandwich for $20, which came with the same tiny side salad. If a salad is going to cost $8, it should definitely be served on something more appropriate than a bread-and-butter plate. I usually avoid leaving negative reviews, but I seriously felt like I wasted my money. It would have been helpful to know that the salad I chose as my meal was more suited as a side dish.
This isn’t a Michelin Star restaurant or anything, but if you're in the mood for a steak and baked potato or something similar, this could be the spot for you. After hiking all day, we were famished and just wanted to fill our stomachs. There’s a large bar with a pool table, and the restaurant is located in the back. The servers seemed a bit annoyed with us, but we didn’t let that bother us.

The restaurant exudes a charming vintage atmosphere that I truly adore. The steaks are exceptional and really showcase the chefs' skills. While the service was mostly good, there were a few moments when my dining companion and I felt somewhat overlooked.
The prices are steep, and the food didn't meet my expectations. The service was subpar as well. The menu offered limited options, and there was no air conditioning, making the atmosphere uncomfortably hot.
I just had dinner at the Stockman. It was Ok. I am a business traveler and was unable to pay with American Express credit card. They did take my Visa. I am disappointed. I will not be back.
Experience live honky-tonk every Thursday night! Enjoy dancing upstairs at this fantastic western-style restaurant. They offer affordable beer and Scotch, making it a great spot to unwind!
