The owner ruined this cellar door for us! Went there on a busy public holiday, tried a few of their wines and decided to stay for lunch. When we went to order pizzas we were rudely told by the owner Lisa no wine no pizza....We explained that in our party of were driving and we weren't going to order a bottle of wine for people. We explained we were planning on buying some on the way out to take home. She gave us a dirty look and said that as long as we were buying wine at the end it was okay and told the staff member to ensure we purchased some at the end. Had a bottle of their wine for lunch at Watervale and thought we would like to try some more of their wine. Checked that their cellar door was open, which according to website it was. Made the drive back towards Clare. All looking good with...a couple of sandwich board signs directing us to cellar door. These signs stated cellar door was open with closing at It was when we arrived. Cellar door was not open but had a sign to either ring a bell or make a phone call. I did the latter. Proprietor answered stating he was driving back and cellar door was closed. He would open up only for sales but would not do any tastings despite signage saying that tastings were available. The Food and Wine at Stone Bridge Wines is in my opinon the best in the Clare Valley! We take our four children her everytime we come to Clare and we usually end up spending the entire day under the beautiful green oak tree while...the kids play with ask the toys and the most gorgeous greyhound you will ever meet! They have gluten free pizzas which taste exactly like the real thing which makes my husband VERY happy! The Pizzas also have quirky names which makes the experience fun as my husband also says to the wait staff I don’t think I’ll be ordering a Hot Mama because I already have one!
We haven't had the opportunity to eat the pizza at Stone Bridge, we always visit in winter when the pizza season is over. BUT ... we visit Stone Bridge every year because we love the wines. You can't buy the wines in bottle shops so...it's a given that we visit to stock up. And Chris is a fun character. Full of passion for his wines, full of energy, full of fun. Great wines, great entertainment, do yourself a favour be there.

Fantastic family run winery. Excellent wines and delicious wood fire pizzas. A beautiful spot to spend an afternoon under the Oak Tree. Have been here on several occasions, always consistently good and great, friendly service. Lisa, Craig and their family do a wonderful job.
Terrible rude service from Lisa , not value for money . Platters were very underwhelming could’ve done so much better not enough meat and beautiful cheese !! It was all cheese on special from Woolworths. The cost was too much for what we should’ve received!!
Lovely old bridge worth stopping to view. Would have taken a walk if we realized that there were several paths over the bridge. Water very clear. Nice cafe next to bridge to stop and have a break.
Nice pizza but nowhere near enough if on a pay to feed me arrangement. Terrible amount of food unfortunately cos it was really nice. Drink's good and at very fair prices but food let it down

A beautiful spot under the trees to have a pizza lunch and pizza dessert with some great wines. We were a group of and the service was quick and the staff pleasant.
Amazingly fresh and tasty gourmet pizzas. Relaxed setting to eat on a deck under a huge tree. Perfect!
