I've been dying for some New Orleans food for quite some time now and this the closest you'll get to it in this area.Arrived on a Friday night at 9pm. I would say this place was dead but Binghamton, Vestal, and Johnson City areas of NY is dead in general.... So I'll call it a slow night. Just a few patrons and I.I was sat immediately and given a menu with a complimentary cheesy seafood bread. I ordered a blue moon which came quickly. The employees were very friendly and quick.I originally came for a seafood broil but decided that was too much since I was hitting bars later on the night so settled for fried gator meat and gumbo soup. The server came back with my hot, fresh meal in less than 10 minutes. The food was very good. The 1 star reviews for this place had to be from some miserable chaps because the food is greatly superior to Long John Silver's. They don't skimp on the meals here at all. Also I did not find the graffiti decor distracting or tacky like past reviewers either. If you ever been to Joe's Crab Shack or Dick's Last Resort, it doesn't look much different from those places.I imagine at one point, this place spent so much money and time cleaning up the graffiti to keep it looking clean, they decided to let customers draw on the walls as one of restaurant's attractions.Anyway, I enjoyed my meal and I'll be back.
