I NEVER leave reviews, but I just had to share this with you guys. I was just craving breakfast food. I had no idea when I ordered from The Stray Hen Cafe that I was about to embark on an epic journey of deliciousness. The food was incredibly fresh. I was SHOCKED by how flavorful each item was. This wasn’t just basic breakfast food. The menu has to have been hand crafted by a chef or something because it’s just THAT GOOD. I ordered the O’Brien skillet with a biscuits and gravy side, corned beef hash, and the Apple Churro French Toast. First of all, I’ll be eating for 3 days, the portion sizes are fantastic! Looking for a breakfast or brunch spot? Look no further! This place has got you covered. With 75% of the menu dedicated to breakfast items, you're sure to find something that satisfies your craving. I tried the South Side Scramble and it was delicious. Although it looked a bit small next to the potatoes at first, I ended up feeling full after finishing it. The price was also reasonable for the portion size. I highly recommend giving this place a try, just be prepared for potentially longer wait times during busy hours. This would be my only complaint.

It is best to make a reservation in advance as they are quite popular in the area. Overall, I highly recommend this place.
Wow! This place is amazing! The dishes and drinks here are so delicious. I am a very healthy eater and they have so many possibilities that I could almost not decide! Breakfast bowls, omelets, fresh fruit and so much more! The toast they taste fresh (or perhaps from a local bakery). The coffee, latte, tea selection is excellent! Child options are great. The food, service, and atmosphere at this restaurant are absolutely fantastic. The portion sizes are generous and the seafood, especially the fresh and well-cooked salmon, is top-notch. Despite being from the east coast, I immediately felt at home in Elmhurst. Our server, Kristain, was extremely polite and helpful. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Totally cute brunch place. Good good and drinks everything was fresh. I would not recommend the poke bowl salad tho it's not authentically Asian. No sesame oil, it was just vegetables mango and tuna pieces served with soy sauce on some lettuce. My friends got actual breakfast food that looked very delicious, like hefty skillets and pink pancakes
We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The service was top-notch, the food was delicious, and we were thrilled to have such a great spot in our neighborhood. While there was a bit of a wait, they have a convenient system that allows you to track your place in line on your smartphone. We absolutely loved it.
