My daughter and I visited this ancient mountain village, Soglio, on a hot summer day in August. (I had visited this lovely place several times before, but in the month of June, and eaten at the same restaurant). On this day,we ate under a vine-covered arbour against the backcloth of the Bregell Mountains andoverlooking the Bregaglia Valley. My daughter chose "Spaghett Tomaten" (13.50 Chf.) and, as usual, I was tempted by Bratwurst Roesti (18. 00 Chf) we each had huge salad costing only 9.50 Chf - so not an expensive meal, at such a lovely place,on such a day! 3 of us stopped in for lunch while visiting Soglio. We had a very nice lunch of some sausage, schnitzel, and cordon bleu. The food was generally tasty although everybody agreed that it needed a little salt and overall was slightly lacking in something. The...fries were good, and the food was good, just not excellent. We sat inside since there was a slight chill in the air outside, and were somewhat annoyed by a few flies that were just buzzing around the inside area. Typical Swiss prices, very high.

We stop here as often as we can because aside the magnificent view the food is truly excellent. The various dishes made with chestnuts are not to be missed. Coming up to the village you can see the chestnut trees. The chestnut gnocchi are a...real delight. The local cheese with a bit of honey are not to be missed. There are so many interesting ingredients that it is worth asking advice from the wonderful staff and chef.

Makes some attempt to give local meats and other produce - especially chestnuts from the hillside below - to visitors. Staff are pleasant and efficient and of course the location is superb especially if it's warm enough to sit outside on the terrace.
My wife and I stopped in Soglio on our way from Lake Como to St Moritz. Really loved sitting out on the patio and soaking up the mountain vistas! Very refreshing! We enjoyed a cappuccino and we shared the Parmesan Risotto, mmmm Yummy!!
we went in this summer early and it was great! the restaurant is wonderful, it was sunny, and so we decided to eat outside and enjoy the beautiful view. we had the “Pizzoccheri valtellinesi” and it was delicious.
Fantastic Swiss regional cuisine.....whilst admiring the view...chestnut gnocchi and nudeln with spring vegetables..the coffee finished the meal off beautifully

Service and food were excellent. The selection is varied enough but not too much and it appears only regional Produce is used where possible and available
We had very nice time it was really nice we will go back but this time i will take all my frinds with me
