Submarine House - Reserva de mesa

I've been dining at Gary's First Submarine House at 48/Main St. in Dayton, OH, for 40 years. Since moving to Columbus, I've been on the hunt for a cheese steak that compares, but nothing has come close. I often find myself driving from Columbus to Dayton just to indulge. The key for me is the bread, paired with their amazing pepper relish—each sandwich is a delightful 16 inches of pure bliss. Without a doubt, it's the best cheese steak I've ever had. If I could only eat one thing for the rest of my life, it would be a whole cheese steak with all the fixings (just without the tomatoes, which I can't stand) from the Submarine House.

The Cheesesteak (yes, 1 word) is great. Two things determine the quality of any Cheesesteak... the fillings and the bread. Both are exceptional, especially since they bake their own bread. Just enough crisp to the crust with a soft interior. Maybe a little too soft at times to hold up the juicy fillings, but I 'm not complaining. You must, absolutely, order the Teezers (potato tots thingy) that are stuffed with cheese and bacon. With a side of sour cream for dipping just puts it over the top, and you 'll want more when their gone. Don 't let someone try your Teezers, make them order their own, trust me.

We visited family and the food was just as good as we remembered. Our bill came to over $100 before tip for six people, and we only had two beers. It got a bit noisy later in the evening. Our waitress was friendly and efficient.

Mediocre at best, nothing original just your cheap deep fried bar foods and overpriced subs. Service was neither friendly nor attentive the few times I have been there, but the food gives me no reason to revisit anytime soon. Reserva una mesa ahora

Some of the best food in Columbus. Love the cheesesteak and works pizza. Super fresh ingredients and delicious with great service every time!

Delicious food, excellent beer, and a wonderful atmosphere! I've visited several times, and the service has always been fantastic.
