I visited Subway at 11 AM today and was met with an extremely rude employee who refused to add egg white to my sandwich because of the time. When I said, "Well, if you can’t, then you can’t," she started speaking Spanish to her coworker, not realizing that I also understand Spanish and heard everything. This behavior is unprofessional, especially since she was in a customer-facing role. Due to this experience, I will never return to this Subway and cannot recommend it. It's disappointing when staff talk about customers in another language just because they’re unhappy with a request, especially when it concerns something as simple as the menu.
