I have to tell you I am actually writing a formal complaint to the franchise. The whole time we were there the workers never changed their gloves, cross contamination in foods as well as whatever they touched when not in view. Their fillings tasted off, the tuna tasted like it had been left out and was dry, not how it should be. The facilities were filthy. The staff didn't even know their menu! This poor man just wanted an item off of the savers menu, he was very clear and the whole place could see on the board what he was ordering. The staff member argued with the man because he was not listening to the order. Never had an experience like this with subway but that's one establishment I will...
Don’t go in if the place is busy, 3 times I asked the lady to double check she had mine as a lot of wrapped subs arrived to the till at once and I wasn’t convinced. 3 times. They then over charged me and only refunded because I quibbled and asked her to recheck so she hurriedly through some coins at me. I walked back to work with my checked order opened at my desk and I had the school kid behind me in the queues. I’m 30 weeks pregnant and couldn’t walk back to correct it was too far to do again so had to go without. I don’t think they can cope with the lunch hour rush so I would avoid.
While waiting at Chelmsford Bus station, this restaurant is a convenient option, especially during cold weather. It offers the typical Subway menu in a clean and simple setting, with reasonable prices. Personally, I didn't find the sandwiches very appealing, but I noticed they now have vegetarian options and salads that seem like a healthier choice. During my visit, there was a lot of foul language from customers trying to use the restroom, which is now only accessible to those with disabilities as it is locked.
We managed to visit at one on the quieter times so were served without waiting. the guy doing the subs was very conscious that my husband was a veggie so made sure to change his gloves between doing my beef melt and husband veggie delite. We had a nice quiet time in between what was a break in the rushes as the staff not serving were restocking the shelves and drink cabinet

The staff were so rude! The older lady spoke to us like rubbish when we enquired about a meal deal. Then the younger lady mucked our order up and wouldn’t sort a refund. They then stood together slagging is off for all to hear. **** service and disgusting staff.
Subway never disappoints. I always make sure to eat a sandwich with plenty of vegetables to maintain a balanced diet. The prices are reasonable, the portions are generous, and it's always fantastic.
Visited this branch of subway for a quick bit of lunch.Dirty tables that were not cleared of rubbish.The staff did not seem to know how to smile.There are better and cleaner subways in chelmsford.
Had a bit of time to kill at the bus station so popped in for a coffee large cup for just £1.50 bargain price and tastes great very worth a visit even if you’re not hungry

If you are expecting to eat in, I would check that they have room as there is only seating for 4. The food is normal standard so no need to comment. Probably won't go back
