I grew up near the restaurant and also know the previous restaurant. As a child, I was allowed to work behind the counter and serve drinks for my parents... I'm just saying this to make it clear: I've known the restaurant and the location very well and for a long time. When I still lived and worked here in Freiburg, I met my father in the south almost every week and we always ate the same thing: schnitzel with fries. Whenever I returned from my place of study, I used to eat here with my father, mother, sister, friends and girlfriend. The schnitzel is GREAT, very tasty. HOWEVER, the schnitzel now costs just under 19 EURO.... No pig in the world can tell me that 200g of its body is worth that...
at the end of 2015 I and my father had dinner there. the food was great and the service was very good. the foods were quite large. the restaurant was full with diners. I have mobility problems (can go, but do not climb stairs and this restaurant is accessible there is an outdoor lift in the 2nd floor where the restaurant is. the owners and workers are very hard working and they fulfilled our order very quickly. highly recommended. I only wish they spoke English (and I German):
19 euros for a schnitzel with average meat quality normal frozen fries without a side salad How is this price made up?! It's really a shame...as a regular guest, I understand general price increases in recent years, However, there is a 7 euro price increase and at that time a salad was included in the price I don't know of any other comparable restaurant. It's really a shame to have to look for a new regular restaurant after such a long time!
Only after a 4-time call and announcement that we were allowed to go without paying we could finally pay. All this after 45 minutes and a maximum of 75% of the place occupied. Oh yes and we were a group of 10 people, of which 6 children. 2 were completely overwhelmed and correspond to... Thanks for this unforgettable evening!!!!

My brother is celiac. There is a variety of marked gf options plus there are two desserts. The owner was very nice and aware of crossed contaminations, the waiters know what it is but aren’t so aware. I’d suggest telling them that it needs to be cooked with clean oil and pan so they say it in the kitchen) Nice food
Food without restriction recommended and ambience fits with it operators were quick and friendly. Beverage selection excellent and inexpensive surprisingly pleasant for the bid. Every time I come back to Freiburg
Very good Gf food I asked the waitress what is gf and she asked chef. had no problems after meal
large selection of food, traditional, international, vegetarian or vegan. I love setting up.
