While the atmosphere inside the restaurant is quite cozy, everything else was not. I ordered the Gebackenes Ziegenkäsetürmchen, and for a price of 9EUR I got two slices of goat cheese layered with undercooked eggplant, two sad slices of apple and for some unexplainable reason two slices of raw tomatoe? It was one of the most awful dishes I 've ever encountered. The housemade bread was stale. My friend had champignon spinach pasta, which was decent, but for the price of ~11EUR I would expect something more fancy. Great food, terrible service. The menu had a great selection and several gluten free options. Unfortunately the service was terrible we had to get up every time we wanted to order something and look for a waitress. We were looking forward to ordering desert and said so to the waiter when we ordered the main course. When we could finally find a waitress to order desert we were told the kitchen closed 15 minutes ago and we could no longer order any of the desserts!
Loved this quaint little restaurant hidden in the Vauban neighborhood area. We thought the food was tasty and it was more like food prepared by a German friend than any other we had. The spatzle, in particular, was good. The price was reasonable for the quantity and the quality of the meal.
