We had a great experience at this restaurant! The food was amazing and there was plenty of it. Everyone was excited to have Sugar Fire at our event, it was wonderful. The only issue we encountered was when a bartender or server loudly complained that the venue wouldn't let them buy a drink. Guests who didn't realize the manager was right next to her were taken aback. I would have been okay with paying for a drink if they had asked politely or discussed it with the manager. Complaining loudly in front of guests at a special celebration was very unprofessional. Despite this, we still had a great time and I would recommend this restaurant. with so many bbq places to choose, it was hard to narrow down where to go, but young we chose the right place....all was excellent except the green beans. the French dip was from this world, best we ever had. then we also had 2 pigs bbq sandwiches they were very delicious. the children loved the mac n käsefries. the cashier was not the most pleasant could not us our military rabatt bc she ran my card fast, but no biggie. she just needed to smile some special, the last person, the people see b4 sitting down in this cafeteria style, sitting her, hometown bbq joint. delicacies
Just to be clear, I'm normally a big fan of this location and this is not the norm. Tonight I ordered a 2 meat combo for pick-up, they said that they were out of ribs and brisket. I was cool with that seeing as it is Saturday night and understand they were probably busy so I just ordered the pulled pork and the jalapeño sausage. When I got home and started eating my food I noticed that there was nearly more fat than pulled pork. Now I'm wishing they would have just told me they were out of that too instead of filling the space with extras.
I tried. the people we kindly tried to answer our questions. we ordered and it was prepared and quickly joined together. food was good, service was excellent! price seemed something on the high side with the portions we were given, but a solid 7 on taste and tast. everything was good, though it wasn't a trip home with me when I think bbq. I would eat here again, maybe try something else on the menu of many objects.
My wife and I dined at the restaurant on September 25, 2022 at 3:30 in the afternoon. It was not very crowded, but unfortunately, the only meat option available was overcooked. However, the appetizer we tried was delicious, so we decided to order two 6 oz steaks. Unfortunately, both steaks were overcooked and overly fatty. Overall, for $30, we found the experience to be quite unpleasant.
The restaurant was just okay, nothing extraordinary and definitely not authentic Texas BBQ. The cornbread that accompanied my meal was cold and dry. The sweet tea was good, but the BBQ itself was just average. While the restaurant may have won awards in the past, the meal I had today did not live up to expectations.
