We booked a table for our family for a special occasion. The restaurant was uncomfortably busy with people standing in between the tables whilst waiting for a seat or takeaway food. Food was nice but everything very very sweet (avoid if you like savoury food! . Apparently they have two sittings, so they tried to clear our plates whilst we were still eating so they could get the next diners in. The family behind us looked bewildered when they were asked to leave so the next booking could sit down. Everything felt too fast, too busy, and very impersonal. Alright for fast food but not for a special occasion. I could be wrong but it felt like waiters were deliberately hovering’ next to the table...
I used Tripadvisor to find this place, which I don't usually do as I like to follow my nose. I have been let down a few times in towns like this as the locals can be biased. Well not this time. Very authentic, simple menu which I like as you know it's going to be good as they are not over complicating the various options. The flavours where amazing, I had fish red curry which I have to say was one of the best I have ever tasted. You only have to check my contributions to see I am well fed . The portions were very generous, in fact my main would have fed two. If your reading this to try and find good food look no further. I shall be back.
Beautiful food but the service was poor. There were 3 young inexperienced boys waiting on table, who appeared to be aged between 12 15 and were dressed in old jeans, T-shirts and dirty trainers. They spent most of the night huddled together chatting at the takeaway counter. When we asked to take home the food we hadn’t been able to eat, 2 takeaway containers were dumped unceremoniously on our table for us to decant ourselves! It’s such a shame, as the food really was very good.
The best restaurant in Penzance by a country mile. Beautiful family run Thai restaurant where food quality is paramount. Pat Po Tek is my wife's favourite dish although there are lots of other amazing choices. On (the owner) cares deeply about the ingredients to ensure consistency and added to the friendly service and atmosphere it is the perfect way to spend an evening. We love this place and will always come back, time and time again.

The menu says ‘food freshly cooked’. I’m not convinced that the food is made on site from fresh ingredients the chicken in the sate and main meals did not have the appearance, texture and taste of freshly prepared not previously frozen) chicken. If I’d cooked the red curry from a spice tailor or similar kit I’d have been disappointed… but we were expecting authentic Thai food. Vegan options for friends were very limited no tofu today).
Found this by chance after searching around for dinner for a hungry family. Lucked out as food amazing and as good a Thai meal as I have had in the UK. Starters excellent especially a peanut fritter thingy we hadn’t tried before. Then went for curries and all top notch. BYOB always a bargain and a tescos metro over the road. Nice people and a great meal.
Context: Good take-out on a rainy night while visiting the city. Selected because like thai food and it was closest place. Positives: Very large portions. Quick service. Negatives: None, although I do prefer the flavours at my local Thai. Summary: Would happily get take-out from here again
Absolutely super food, restaurant felt a little like a works canteen but the food served was delicious. Was very surprised to find the restaurant was unlicenced and surprised to be charged £3.00 corkage as I opened the bottle, I poured the wine and spent over £40.00 on food.

I love the red curry so much I took a portion home for my dinner the next day. Can’t beat it, real Thai food served with really chatty friendly staff who care you enjoyed your food
Fantastic Thai meal. Nothing was too much trouble and the dishes were all delicious and piping hot. Great customer service and excellent prices.
