"Great food and wonderful service on the legendary Route 66. If you make it in time for breakfast, I suggest the ruined breakfast Burrito with authentic New Mexican Chile."

Seems these guys are only open for breakfast and lunch. We were working across the road at the Dollar General, the store manager recommended them. We arrived only just before closing but they were happy to serve us. The food was yummy and the service courteous and attentive. Great place to grab breakfast or lunch, probably a shame they don’t serve dinner also. Thanks Sam for the recommendation.

The largest homemade Mexican and American food.... The best house made Sourdough biscuits that you have ever eaten, the homemade soups are from this world, you will be totally worth your money. Be careful to stop and try some good old authentic Mexican foods before you go in Texas and get your kicks on Route 66. There is no good Mexican food in Amarillo. Sun Sands is here.

I went into the door looking for authentic New Mexico food and what I was served was exactly what I was looking for. The green chili was the best I ever had. I liked the food and the service so much I went back twice the next day. I would recommend the Sun and Sand restaurant to anyone who wants a great culinary experience.

Good basic food. Clean. Friendly. Quiet. Appears to be family owned. Great prices. Wine limited. Beer limited. But great food. I would recommend this cute restaurant on Route 66!!! Love this place. Reasonable
