Sun Seng Chinese Restaurant

Having recently revisited this place after 20 years (nothing has changed....carpet, wallpaper, dust on the light fittings) and LOVING the food, we took a group of friends on a Saturday night. The food was great and the servings huge but not enough room on our table for 7 dishes so we had to resort to sorting out the situation by pouring food onto other plates and removing all glasses and drinks to the floor. One dish came with brown wilted lettuce and the response from the owner was very much just to accepted that they used old lettuce! We sent that dish back but were still charged. Been going here since it opened. Is it under new management? The last few takeaways have been really below their previous standards, last night was the last straw. Ordered curried king prawns. No curry flavour evident, just some rather tasteless prawns served in a container of vegetables. Spring rolls were soggy and tepid and probably left over from last night, we bought not long after opening time. Sun Seng was always one of our favourite places for ourselves and family bookings. Sorry to see this decline, we shall miss it. There is a handwritten sign on the wall at the desk saying that they now charge 50 cents each for containers.

I'm a frequent visitor to this wonderful restaurant as i know that great food, efficient service and a wonderful atmosphere are guaranteed. It does get pretty busy on weekends so always better to book in advance. Excellent choice of dishes and really good value. Not 'fine dining' restaurant but if you're looking for somewhere that's preet cheap, with lots of choice, delicious food and wonderful staff then Sun Seng will definitely hit the spot!

I have visited this restaurant over 3-4 years for various reasons ( friends, sports team, visiting relations, birthdays, etc ) and it has never failed to see my companions and I leave with smiles and a full stomach. You simply do not have leftovers!The polite and efficient staff are not annoying - while meeting your requests.I have had smorgasbord as well as tasting others choices and I am very please with the quality. Service SO slow, dishes lukewarm, yes, not bad taste, last thing to come out was the rice which should have come out with the meat etc. and then it was lukewarm! Used to be good, care more about takeaways than their dine in patrons. Last time!

Most of Chinese restaurant do not accept separate billing. Even lots of are cash only. I don't think it's a big thing to talk about and post it on. As long as the food is delicious.

Have been coming here now for seven years, and will continue doing so,food is so good and tasty with big portions,we must have tried everything on the menu with no disappointments.

This is the best value Chinese In WA. Lots of choice, huge portions at low prices. We keep trying others but none ever compare with Sun Seng.

The food was amazing. The best Chinese in Perth (at least in my opinion). Staff were friendly and it'll always be my fav Chinese restaurant
