We went for Father's Day, but our plans changed, and they very graciously seated us early. The waitstaff is pleasant, helpful and did a great job. It was the only place all weekend we went to that didn't have live music, and for that we were grateful! Conversation wasn't interrupted or impossible, but very easy and calming. The food arrived piping hot, and mine was warm still when I finished! Large generous portions, fresh ingredients, gluten free options galore, and yummy **** mary's! Dad was pleased, so that pleases me. Cute little place and plenty of outdoor tables. When we come back to SJC, we'll be back!
Disappointed. It has been awhile since my last visit and I felt the restaurant has deteriorated. My test for good vs great is usually the pacing of the service. This time was bad. Main course showed up shortly after the soup course arrived. The food was generally tasty but my baked halibut was over cooked, very salty and placed a top watery masted potatoes and spinach. We ate outdoors which was a mistake. In addition to the flies, the outdoor dining area was shared by a loud pizza establishment. The mix did not work.
My friends and I were so excited to try this restaurant for the first time as we had heard SO many great things about it. When seated we were immediatley asked if we were ready to order in which we said we would need a couple of minutes, 20 minutes later we finally had our drink/appetizer order taken. We enjoyed the Sampler Platter, tomato soup (awesome), Ahi, steal salad, and lasagna. All were excellent. Our waiter, Abraham, did a great job with service and guiding us thru the menu.

I’ve been here in the evening for dinner and now in the late morning for brunch. Both times I’ve sat outdoors on the patio and really enjoyed it! Good food, attentive staff.
The black mussels and panko crusted calamari small plates were superb. Will definitely return. Great location close to parking and the Mission.
It was great to be able to make a reservation online. The service was very good and the food really tasty.
Food was very delicious and a good value for the price. Found the cocktails to be good as well.
