Sunrise Indian Take Away

Sunrise is the best Indian takeaway I have ever had! I have tried Indian food all over the world and have often been disappointed, but Sunrise never fails to impress me and my family. We have been coming here for years and the food is consistently delicious. The staff are friendly and polite. The onion bhajis are amazing, the best I have ever had - not too spicy, just perfect. The naan bread and curries are also full of flavor. I cannot find any faults with this takeaway. I love being able to see the chefs cooking and the authentic smells as soon as you walk in. Sunrise has been our go-to Indian takeout for the past few years. The food is delicious and the service has always been excellent. However, I have not ordered from them since they received a hygiene rating of just 1 star from the council, with a classification of major improvement necessary. Sunrise, you have disappointed both yourselves and your customers.

Today was the first time we had ordered from sunrise. This takeaway had been recommended to us by friends. The food was delicious and you get plenty. Best curry i have ever had. I visited curry houses in manchester, takeaways etc and this was the best. Highly recommend and will certainly be ordering again soon

Best Indian food I’ve ever eaten. The meat is always bang-on! No other Indian take-away in Wigan comes close! Chicken Tikka Shahee is perfection!! I had the same dish a couple of weeks ago in a highly rated restaurant and it wasn’t a patch on Sunrise!

Always love our meals from here. Best Indian by far. I always ask for my madras less hot and they do it for me. Portion sizes are massive we only ever eat half and freeze the rest for a later date. Yum yum!!

Everything tasted identical, with a bright red color that made it hard to distinguish the vegetables. The meat seemed more like sliced beef rather than lamb, and it was quite tough. We won't be returning.

Everything tasted the same from the chicken chat to the madras it’s like it’s all cooked in the same sauce overall very disappointed as sunrise used to be the best Indian in Wigan (used to be)

Set meal for 2 could feed 4, no problem for them that I changed one of the set main meals to one of their specials

This is one of the better take-aways in the area. Food reliably good. Clean establishment and good service.
