After leaving my doctors appointment I stumbled upon Sunrise Market and was in love! As a foodie, authentic ethnic grocery stores make my heart smile and I am a LOVER of Asian cuisine. As I perused the store I said to myself 'wow I wished they had a restaurant ' and as I walked out the door and looked to my left, behold! My wish came true! I was overwhelmed, in the best way possible. Watching the chefs cook in real time enhanced the experience. They have pre-made bento boxes, sushi bowls and plates that are already prepared. Or, you can order noodle, rice, dumpling, etc dishes freshly made for you in real time. I ordered the Spicy Tuna Onigiri, Pork Beef Dumplings, Tanuki Udon Noodles and oh...

Small GEM in Midtown, NYC. If you are a group of 4-8 ppl, hungry, and looking for a place that is available for a meal in Midtown, You might get it only in your dream. However, it has existed! Right here at Sunrise Mart. Price is very reasonable, many items, and delicious (De-Li-Cious-Su; Japanese accent, lol We had two bowls, 1 was a Grilled salmon with Chicken karaage, it's good but nothing special compared to other places. The second, which was Gyusuji (Udon with Yam, and Beef stew I'd say this was my favorite all the time. I must have it when I went to Sunrise Mart especially the one located in Brooklyn (and Brooklyn branch's soup flavor was stronger too Udon was smooth but firmed, Soup...

Great Japanese supermarket in the Bryant Park area. They have two storefronts; one is their supermarket with some pre-prepared foods and sushi. While the other is more of a cafeteria/ restaurant style. Things here can be a little overpriced, especially if you can get the item at competing supermarkets. However, they offer a great selection of Japanese vegetables, snacks, goods. For non-perishable items, they are often competitive with online retailers, however, I always check with Amazon if I'm browsing teas or other products that I can get shipped. In their supermarket section, they have fish for sashimi or sushi that is often reasonably competitively priced. On the second floor, they have...

This fantastic Japanese restaurant offers a wide variety of fresh snacks, sweets, sushi, and hot food items. One side of the store is a grocery store while the other side mainly offers food to go. They also have an upstairs dining area. The staff is very friendly and I particularly enjoyed the fresh sashimi, which was buttery and delicious. They also have fresh toro imported from Japan. Whenever I used to visit Midtown in New York, I would always order the Chicken Katsu Don. Even though I now live in New Jersey, I make sure to stop by Sunrise Mart in New York City to get my favorite dish whenever I'm in the area. The food at Sunrise Mart is unmatched and I haven't found anything quite like it at other Japanese restaurants I've visited.

Whenever I visit Midtown in New York, I always make sure to get the chicken katsu don. Even though I now live in New Jersey, I never leave New York without stopping by Sunrise Mart for my favorite dish. The food is just as delicious as it was when I lived in the city, and nothing compares to the Japanese cuisine at this restaurant.

Dope market, I wish it wasn't in the cut like that— probably has to do with the rent prices being so high but this is a nice market. They have a restaurant right next door too. I got Tonkotsu Ramen and it was damn good. They have great seating and a nice ambiance, if you have time y'all should check it out.

Love coming here for lunch and getting their pre-made boxes! You get so much for less than $15 and I always get to try something new! Also love that Bryant park is a block away! Great place to stop by and then have a picnic! Reserva una mesa ahora

This restaurant serves incredibly tasty, authentic Japanese cuisine at a great price for New York City. You can dine in or take out. The service is excellent and quick. I highly recommend trying the ginger tea.
