Rating : 3.5 First the good : made reservations online. Very easy to do so. We were seated within a few minutes of us arriving. Very cute interior. Loved the vibe. It's cute and cozy. The attention to detail for allergies was excellent. The server made sure that she knew them all. The cook on the cod was very good. The tomatoes were perfection. Now the not so good. Very very very slow service. Granted the restaurant was almost to capacity, but 40 minutes for an appetizer is very slow. We ordered two appetizers.. Only one made it to the table. The lamb raviolis .. Were probably from two batches. One tasted exceptionally good. The other two were way too salty.

Service was friendly but it all took so so long. We entered around 5:00 and left at 8:00. Everything was very salty, the lobster carbonara was so watery is wasn't a carbonara anymore. My cavatelli was ok. Just didn't enjoy all that sprinkled cheese on top. We wanted to order dessert but by the time we were brought the menu, we had waited 30 minutes and waiting any longer to order was just making us more tired. We waited 15 mins before someone came to take our dessert order which by then we asked for the bill which took another 15 mins. Might give it a second chance. Will update my review then if things get better.

The restaurant is beautiful, the decor, ambience, vibe and feel is really amazing. The service is excellent as well, the waiters are very friendly and very professional. As for the food, I tried appetizers and snacks, 5 of them though, like the major ones on the menu. The presentation is 5 stars, but and I must say they all taste just ok, nothing that will blow your mind or make you say wow!! When you count the price in for these plates, it is just not worth it for the food. So I ended up not ordering any mains thinking it would be the same.

The menu is concise, which makes it easier to choose what to order. The food is delicious and flavorful, and the atmosphere is cozy. If you're a fan of oysters, don't miss the "Summer Love" – it features a meat broth that adds a unique twist I hadn't experienced before. Our waitress Victoria was a lively character who instantly won us over. She moved gracefully through the small space and was incredibly charming. Be sure to make a reservation for the weekend, as we were thoroughly impressed by Barocco. I highly recommend it!

I had a wonderful brunch experience at this restaurant. It's located in a beautiful old building in the historic part of Montreal. The interior is truly charming; as I enjoyed my meal, I found myself admiring the intricate details of the space. The service was friendly and inviting, with our server checking in on us multiple times. The food was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, and the desserts were equally delightful. I would definitely return to Montreal just to dine here again.

I tried all 3 empanadas. Carne had no flavour, missing salt and everything else. Chicken was even worst, but the vegetarian ended up in the garbage. Really bad, I was following everything on Instagram and I wanted to go and try it. But sadly it was a disappointment. I give two stars because the girl at the front was super nice.

Generally good. Enjoyed the ambience and we had good service. The distinction that dishes on the menu are not marked as seasonal if they are not always available, of course, seasonality is good, but the information was missing. Also a shame that there are no local or even Canadian wines on the list.

I really enjoyed the ambiance of this cozy restaurant. Every dish and drink was presented with meticulous attention to detail, and the flavors were absolutely delightful! Be sure to make a reservation and arrive on time, as they do give you a heads-up about the consequences of being late.
