I visited Superfish today for a takeaway, which was my second time in two weeks. Surprisingly, my previous visit was four years ago! A few years back, I switched to a low carb lifestyle and started avoiding seed oils like many others on the same diet. I believe vegetable oils are not heart-healthy, so I stopped eating takeaways because of the carbs and the use of seed oils in most restaurants. However, I recently discovered that Superfish cooks their food in beef tallow, a traditional and healthier way of cooking. A midweek meal out, so it was fairly quiet, although a steady flow of customers were coming in for take away. I had the fried salmon, delicious, perfectly cooked with a light batter coating. Chips were good chip shop style chips but more crispy not the greasy fatty soft mess of past tradition. We were served by a charming and polite young lady who smiled and was friendly and helpful throughout our visit. Fish and chips is such a lovely simple meal, reminding me of Friday nights when I was a kid. But Superfish takes that to a new level, making the whole experience a good amount more sophisticated and pleasurable than those childhood memories.

Have just finished a thoroughly enjoyable cod and chips with salt, lemon and extra vinegar. It was nicely presented in a box which kept it all hot and was easy to eat from. Chips were perfect as was the fish and batter. I ordered a small portion but there was plenty there. The restaurant was clean, the person who served us was friendly and efficient. All was freshly cooked and I would highly recommend a visit. Next time I will be eating in as the restaurant menu had jam roly poly on the menu with custard or ice cream.

Very hospitable and family-friendly atmosphere. I ordered a large cod with chips to take-away but decided instead to dine-in when I saw the nice setting. Good quality fish and chips loses a star for its packaging as it’s fish and chips were stuck to the paper. Batter could improve on the haddock as it was slightly wet and falling off fish. Price per person: £10–20

Arrived cold as driver left restaurant then signal lost and 15 mins later when signal come back she still in same place and doesn't move for another 10min, Reserva una mesa ahora
