Sur La Route Cafe-librairie

Me and my mum have been visiting Sur La Route ever since we moved to Huelgoat, 5 years ago. The owner is a lovely man and always very welcoming and friendly to us. The selection of books is excellent and prices are very fair. We always have great drinks and food here. It's fantastic to see such an array of homemade cakes and savouries as well as local produce and bio products offered. I would highly recommend calling in, whenever you are in Huelgoat. Thank you

A cosy bookshop filled with a great choice of books in French and English, both new and second hand. Amazing choice of postards and small size art by local artists on sale. Tea, coffee and home baked sweets to enjoy in a friendly atmosphere. The owner speaks perfect English too. The café-librairie is named after the famous novel by Jack Kerouac whose ancestors originate from this small town.

The cafe/ambience is quite nice. Unfortunately, as is the case throughout Brittany, the coffee doesn't taste particularly good here either. Unfortunately there isn't cake every day, which I can't understand. There were mochis, that was it. A pity.

Just my favourite eating place... Fabulous ambience...Johann a marvellous cook ...also a very good choice of coffee's and teas ... today's lunch was excellent and service also excellent..
