Worth the drive. Delicious!<br/ <br/ This is the second location for sushi bong. It is located in the humongous World on Yonge on the north east Yonge Street and Doncaster, just north of Steeles. There an inside mall but the restaurant is located outside. <br/ <br/ I went at 6 on Friday evening. There 's limited above ground parking and underground parking. I parked underground and it was cool. There 's a huge Asian grocery store in the P1 level and parking was still cool. Tonnes of spaces. No parking anxiety here! <br/ <br/ This place is teeny tiny. There 's about 8 seats. Tiny. There 's not enough room for decor. Oh we had a cabbage thing on our table. I took a picture.<br/ <br/ We ordered...

I found a hidden gem!!  I love those!  I want to start off saying this place is great, and I would have never gone normally. That would have been my loss entirely!<br/ <br/ So my friend asked me if I was free to go out for dinner. My favourite – Sushi.   I jumped all over that.  She suggested Sushi Bong.  Bong? So many jokes.    Was it okay that it was at Yonge and Doncaster in World on Yonge?   Had to think for a minute.  Yonge and Steeles is the worst.   So I quickly jumped on line to check out reviews.  All were great.  So I said yes. I Figured I would use my super mapping skills to help me avoid traffic.  One thing about me, I will avoid going places if I think there will be any  traffic...

The quality of the food from the new location is comparable to the original North York location. The small restaurant is located at the base of the new condo complex on Yonge St., just north of Steeles.<br/ <br/ This place is an amazing bang for buck with huge maki and sushi pieces. The place is small, so it's more of a takeout joint. <br/ <br/ The sushi bong special is a must, for $9.50 before, you get 5 sushi pieces and a large roll.<br/ I got 2 containers full of sushi to share (spent less than $30) and we couldn't finish it...and I'm a big eater.

I've been to the Sushi Bong location in North York a long time ago. However, the parking there was inconvenient so I never went back. I was happy to see that they opened up a more convenient location!<br/ <br/ Their sushi is reasonably priced for the portion they gave. I didn't have lunch that day when I visited Sushi Bong and I was about to order 2 dishes. Good thing I only ordered one dish Sushi Bong's Special $9.50) because it was a large portion! Everything tasted fresh.<br/ <br/ The next time I go there, I'm going to try their other rolls. Reserva una mesa ahora

I ordered takeout from this restaurant, hoping it would be just as good as their original location, and it definitely was! We got the medium party tray, and it was delicious! I absolutely love their rolls, and when I'm hit with a massive carb craving, this place satisfies it perfectly! The rolls are huge and made with so much care! I've heard some people say they're too large, but maybe the issue is that their mouths are too small! The prices are fantastic for the quantity of food you receive, and it actually tastes amazing!

I've ordered from this place three times so far. The first time was amazing. Good sushi, for a great price. Somehow, it went all down hill on the second and third times. The second delivery, the rice was undercooked, so eating the sushi was difficult. The third time, the rice was still undercooked and they gave us rancid pickled ginger and lemons. They smell horrendous, almost like a dirty rag. I wanted to give them a chance after the second delivery, but now, I'm not sure I can continue with them.

I recently ordered takeout from Sushi Bong and had a mixed experience. While I understand that it can be challenging during busy times, I found the staff to be a bit cold when I arrived to pick up my order. The sushi rice, which I usually enjoy, was not as great this time. It lacked the usual freshness and texture. Additionally, I was disappointed to find that my larger order didn't come with enough soy sauce (2 packets for 6 rolls).

The menu is straightforward, and with a self-serve station for tea and water, plus a waitress always nearby, the speed of service is impressive. While it would have been nice to have an outlet under the table or for the waitress to take our order at the table instead of calling out from the cashier area, I really have no complaints about this place. I found something like a feather inside my sushi i brought it back to the store and asked them was is that? instead of explaining to me they took it to the back of the store and brought it back and they siad there is nothing without any explanation, they told me don't order this sushi next time ! Definitely don't recommend this place .
