The staff at Sushi Kushi has always been so welcoming. My family has been going here since they have opened and there is a reason we keep coming back. They have affordable options with a good variety. My favorite for first time customers is the bento box. You will get a choice of beef, salmon, or chicken teriyaki, california/spicy tuna roll, tempura, white rice, and miso soup. It is one of my favorite dishes. I also love the kurobuta tonkatsu and the katsudon. The rolls are not too heavy and the fish is quality. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a cozy environment with great food!
I left tip for my waiter on the tray. Owner took it. Asked the waiter if he gets the tip I left..he said no! What the heck! Owner just bosses people around but the staff doesn't get their tip! Bery nice decor, great service, and the sushibis amazing. I had the sushi lunch which comes with a fantastic miso soup, a few pieces of roll, and a nice portion of regular sushi. I've eaten at Sushi Kushi Toyo many times as I used to have clients in this general vicinity. It is, in my opinion, the best sushi in Chicagoland. The sushi is always great, and I highly recommend.
