Sushi & Maki Restaurant

my family and I would go a lot here in the past, but since Kovid we haven't visited for one. Last night, the service was shamed and not what we used to be here. I know that it is hard to find employees, but not only the service, but the quality of the food has deteriorated. when we got our food, it was cold my bentobox was cold, my shiny soup was cold and when we complained, the lady server only said that her bowl is warm and it was okay. very respectful in my head to treat our mother as if she didn't know the difference between cold suppe and hotter suppe and act as if she hadn't known what she was talking about. we will not return here. their total disregard for our food quality made a bad...

My favorite restaurant in happy valley! I always get the pork katsu-donburi and gyoza. The gyoza sauce is perfect, and the egg special sauce in the pork cutlets is what I've been looking for, for years. A Japanese restaurant I loved in Salem made amazing pork katsudonburi but they retired and I haven't been able to find it made the same way anywhere else... Until now!! ? The service is very good, they always remember me and my order, and the prices are good. It's a very cozy, and nice place to come to on a rainy lazy day to just hang out!If you're more of a sushi person then they have a huge sushi menu, and specialized rolls for many US States! It's pretty fun to try all the different ones.

easily the worst sushi place I’ve ever been to. Which is quite sad considering all the high reviews.Soft drinks were brought out in plastic bottles (and a fuss was made when we asked for a cup of ice) Cucumber salad was just cucumbers with sesame seeds (no sauce), chicken teriyaki was made with imitation chicken. Both rolls we got we’re flavorless and burnt. Miso soup was wayyyy too salty.The online menu has completely different prices than the in person menu. When asked about it, and shown proof, the waitress simply said “yeah not sure”.Staff has no manners and service took FOREVER even though there was only one other couple in the restaurant. Definitely do not recommend

my wife and I have bought sushi from the entire subway area of portland, and if we settled 8 years ago in happy valley, we never had a really good place for sushi close. Believe me, we have all tried. Now, we finally decided to try a new sushi spot, so we thought we would sushi n maki try. everything I can say is wow! this is our new favorite restaurant sushi! we have placed an online order and everything was up to date. we finally feel that we have our money of Japanese food both in quality and in portions. other nearby sushi sites calculated too much for their small parts and were not very satisfying. we are looking forward to another order here! thanks sushi n maki!

The sesame chicken was absolutely delicious but the ramen here is not so good. We went here to get sushi but ended up ordering Sesame Chicken and Ramen so I can’t tell you about wether the sushi is good or not but they do have a wide selection of sushi to choose from.Not a bad place but I wouldn’t give it 5 stars. The service is slow and at one point is smelled like cigarette smoke from the kitchen area probably someone smoking on their break and the draft carried it inside. ??‍

until today only the delivery ordered. I wait and was not greeted for one. I saw that it seemed to work only two of them, so I understand. that means I didn't help me what we want to order. very out of the hand. Nevertheless, the sushi is fantastic. was every time I ordered. the sushi cook looked very focused and I see why.

Went for dinner last Friday with the family. We haven't been in a while, but we were all pleasantly surprised that they hired a new waitress. SO incredibly nice and personable. The previous waitresses we've had there in the past have been terrible. Made for a great experience, plus the sushi is always consistently tasty.

Used to be a good place but now it’s just another average restaurant. Too busy with take out to give proper attention to dine in customers. Have not seen any of the old staff that was attentive and knew what we liked.

they are in the regular friendly, and eating is good if expensive. they have some nitriri that is often hard to find elsewhere like red snapper and seabass.

Food was good. Service was slow. They are too busy with take out to serve dine in customers. We will not be going back.
