I've been really fortunate to try sushi all over the world. (Yes, Japan does it best. Hawaii is superb too.) I've noticed it becoming very popular (partly because it is so yummy and partly because people think it low calorie). This place is an example of a chain that is okay but certainly not great.The decor was nice but the top 40 music really took away from the ambience. It is not wheelchair friendly.The waitress (nice but a bit inexperienced) didn't know what fish was not available until after she had taken our order. We love sushi and we're excited to try some right on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. We are sure glad we did! To begin with we happened to hit their $5/glass wine Wednesdays. Then we had delicious vegetable tempura as an appetizer. Very lightly coated and delicious. Then came the sushi rolls and sashimi. The portions were phenomenal (each slice of sashimi was comparable to 3 slices in the states) and the maki was hard to fit in my mouth. It all tasted wonderful. To top it all off the prices are very very reasonable. We liked it so much we did take out the next night and were once again thrilled with what we got!
I've been to Sushi Nami twice (each time on a Wednesday...$5 glasses of wine on that day!) and I'm making it a tradition. I've tried various rolls, and the classic spicy tuna is delicious and fresh. If you like a warm roll, get the mini kamikaze. YUM. The same server waited on us both Wednesdays and she is fantastic. Wish I knew her name. Yummy HOT miso soup, too. I'll keep coming back. I can't wait to try the ramen!
Tuna sashimi is amazing, it is red Tuna, oh yeah!! Remain noodle soup, the broth is really unbelievable. If you want to know it is a good Japanese restaurant or not, you should check their kitchen food, not only the sushi part. This restaurant has really great tasty kitchen food.

Went for lunch with my husband. Had a wonderful meal. We both ordered the veggie bento box and were very pleasantly surprised by both the quantity and the quality and type of food. We loved everything about it and cannot wait to go back!
Considering the location, we were pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the food was and the service was phenomenal. Celebrated my son's birthday and the waitress went all out to make him feel special.

The best place to get sushi in St. John's. Avocado always immensely fresh and soy sauce to die for. Cannot recommend enough.
We had a sushi craving and we were hungry at an odd time because most restaurants were closed before the dinner rush.
