Sushi San which actually means Mr Sushi, is really legit. The wasabi and ginger are from Japan, which is rare and genuinely good and fresh. The sushi itself is also fresh and tastes delicious. But Andrew, why are you giving it 4 stars? It's the price. I feel like 9-11 dollars for 5 maki (rolls) is a bit much. They are sized okay, but I wish it were 6. 5 is such an odd number for maki. Hence why I am giving em 4 stars. If they did maki for 9-11 for 6 rolls this would be a five-star review. I feel like it's a cheap way to cut corners. Overall though, Mister Sushi is good. Just expect to pay for that goodness. I had the Salmon poke bowl lunch special. I also had 3 maki (salm, negi, and shrimp c...

A eclectic cool place to enjoy Japanese whiskey and Sushi in a pleasing aesthetic place. Hip hop background music and great service adds to the great experience and energy. Service was super quick and outlet server Minnie was great. Tako Taco seems to be a popular App and lives to its reputation. Maki rolls and Hamachi were at par with any other good Sushi place. Mango and Vanilla E Mochi were cute and savory. Definitely one of the best Sushi places in Downtown Chicago.

This restaurant combines two of my favorite things: sushi and Old School Hip Hop. You can feel the atmosphere even before you enter. Although the restaurant was crowded, we didn't have to wait for a table. The tables are small, but the servers regularly clear away empty dishes to make room for the next course. We savored every dish and finished off our meal with Japanese pancakes. It was a delightful dining experience. I highly recommend it.

Somehow, some way we walk into the coolest sushi restaurant in Chicago. Low lit ambiance and Hip Hop joints in the background made me feel at home. Start with the bite-size Tako Tacos, then feast on spicy tuna and yellow fish avocado rolls. And do not leave without trying the Arubi Spicy Salmon rolls.Food: 5/5
