I've always had wonderful service at this restaurant until my visit on Wednesday, August 24. The staff are usually very friendly, but that was not the case this time. I greeted a woman behind the counter and asked how she was, but she didn’t respond with any warmth—there was no smile, just a blank stare. I placed my order and requested that she cut two rolls for me, just like I usually do. She didn't answer and only paused to slice the rolls in half, rather than into several pieces as they normally do, and without the usual friendly demeanor. I understand that the food industry is facing challenges these days, and many restaurants are doing their best to keep customers satisfied. However, after dining here numerous times, I have to say that this experience was a disappointing first. When preparing a meal, it's expected that fresh ingredients are used and there’s a level of care for the final product. Unfortunately, today’s meal fell short on the freshness front, with what seemed to be old, yellowing lettuce in the seafood salad (see pictures). For a small dish priced at $8, this was unacceptable. If you can’t source fresh ingredients, then don’t serve the dish at all. Losing a sale is far better than losing a customer.
