Tiny and cute restaurant in the heart of the town of Metuchen, NJ. Definitely, it is one of the best sushi place around NJ area. We ordered miso salad, then sushi spicy maki combo. In addition, we chose sashimi, which was pretty unique. Even though this sashimi was a thick cut, it was literally melting in your mouth. Another thing I want to point out is that I am not a big fun of wasabi, but this one had a lighter color and it was not as spicy as the ones I previously tasted. On a side note, customer service needs to improve their smile skills. Sushi Suzuki was overall a good experience.
I liked a lot here and went here. but in the last one year or so, I can feel that they are gradually changing. I know because of inflation, all restaurants need to adjust their menu price. but suzukis price went really much high, and the fish pieces were also thinner. Sushi rice, which I ordered as a side order, is not a sushi rice at all, only regular rice. a special roll for $18 or $20, there are much better options out there.
I would highly recommend staying away from this facility, from rude workers to old pampered fishing with long delivery times. the worker called back the worker because they messed up and brought me the wrong ones, the worker pretended that she had no more English understanding and hanged on my face twice. there are much better sushi in the opposite, take her hard earned money otherwise, where it is not worth the high prices.
So disappointed. Craving sushi tonight and the rolls did not taste fresh and now we feel kinda sick. It was also extremely overpriced for the quality and the chefs were not wearing masks while making a rolls either. Two hours later and we still feel like we have indigestion.? We don’t know because of the fish or else. Stay away from Tokyo and Philli rolls!!

This restaurant is so amazing, don't believe the 4 4 rating we saw yesterday. Fantastic sushi and maki. Our friend, who doesn't eat fish, simply loved the teriyaki chicken, noodles with fantastic black pepper flavor. Tom yum soup, so cool at a Japanese restaurant! . Shrimp app stellar too. Family run. They really care.
ordering sushi suzuki all the time and eating is always excellent, but there were a few times when they forgot something ordered and paid. last time was a sharp crawling roll. it was just not delivered. frustrating.
Obsessed with this place for sushi when I come to Metuchen. Thai tea, jalapeno stuffed tuna, salmon sashimi and salmon/mango roll are my go to favorites!
Awesome place to spend time with your family and friends. Best sushi in Metuchen NJ no doubt about. Family oriented and super friendly people.

I go all the time, love her rolls and meals. everyone is incredibly friendly. it is a beautiful atmosphere in the inner. make sure, byob!
