This place had many mediocre reviews, but I thought it was worth to give it a try and judge for myself. Here is the overview: food ok (neither good nor bad), service touch and go, price way overpriced (for food quality and service). Let me break it down starting with the service. I was seated quickly and given instructions on how the sushi train works. Upon requesting water and additional a la cart items from the menu, the water took 7 minutes and the items were forgotten all together by the waiter. Food quality so so. This place was way better than I expected traveling from the coast to the Midwest. Everything was so delicious and fresh, and not as much more expensive than it is from other places not like other middle America sushi I've had at all. This was a delightful experience I'm glad I had. The anime motif in places, the fun walls, the delicious food and great menu of options available not just on the conveyor belt and not just sushi. What a fun way to enjoy sushi! We've been twice now with each of our older kids. They loved it too. There are fun Japanese sodas as well. It's not the cheapest sushi in town...but its just as fun as any hibachi or teppanyaki we've been too! Staff has always been awesome! It can get super busy so br prepared for that during peak hours. They have a bar too! Try some sake based drinks while you wait!
Quick service, friendly staff, clean restaurant. Normally with this style of sushi, you get cheaper cuts to keep the food costs down. Not here! Plenty to be enjoyed. The good stuff just keeps coming! Amazing concept!! You will get the sushi on train and you can choose what you want! Lots of variety including vegetarian options. On belt you will even get the desserts or appetizers. If you want to choose to order from menu you can do that as well.They give the free Sake to father’s on Father’s Day!

Toot toot! This place is so busy. The sushi train is an incredibly fun experience! The sushi is delicious and there's plenty to choose from. They also have kani salad and hot appetizers, as well as noodle bowls. The staff is really enjoyable too!

i was walking around Loring Park and had an awesome dinner. huge fan of the conveyor belt sushi scene, and this one is in an awesome location. great food, and the employees rock. be back soon.
We were thrilled to finally try Sushi Train and experience this unique way of enjoying sushi. The menu exceeded our expectations, and the staff was friendly and engaging. Highly recommended!
