We happened to be in the area, so we wanted to try what Milton had to offer. I got the worst Rainbow Roll I've ever had in recent memory. I like to order Rainbow Roll, which is a combination of California roll with some sashimi on top, and this seems to have become an indicator dish for me to tell whether a sushi restaurant is good or bad. First, the roll broke easily. I attempted to grab one piece and it broke apart by itself. It was difficult to eat also because other pieces were stuck to each other. The avocado and sashimi pieces such as raw salmon, tuna or shrimp, on top of the roll didn't seem fresh. In addition, there wasn't the standard filings in the roll as you would expect such as...

Brother in law's Birthday - they've been multiple times & we finally got an invite!It's a small'ish restaurant, very quiet - ie. you can hear multiple conversations Started with Edamame & Takoyaki - umm Octopus!We ordered the XL boat- it's a lot of food for 4 people - Giant pieces of Sashimi, added bonus Surf Clams- many many Maki!It's great - you get the requisite salad with sesame dressing, miso soup & complimentary orange segments after dinner! They were very accommodating to our niece's differing taste - one improvement would be the timing of dishes and removal of bowls & plates.Very fresh-no sign of fishy-ness! Love the sign - No All You Can Eat!

Went there for a business lunch, just shortly after the rush for lunch. Was greeted and sat by the window which was a very nice booth. Service was very quick and the recommendation for the sushi lunch was bang on. Was excellent Sushi, which started with a very nice salad and wonderful miso soup. Service was excellent as was the meal. Will be my future favourite spot for sushi in Milton!

We have regularly been eating at Sushi-Ya for over two years. The restaurant is located inside a Historic Home in Milton and provides a small intimate atmosphere. They have a good selection on their menu and the prices are reasonable. If you are looking for some great tasting Sushi in Milton, I would recommend checking out this restaurant. Great little restaurant near Main Street Milton. Fresh fish, wide selection of rolls, great service!My usual is the Chirashi Don for lunch takeout and it's never a disappointment. Plenty of food for a great price!Also tried the Crazy Crazy Roll - very very good! Deep fried anything is good right?!Will definitely keep going back!

Just recently moved to Milton, and was concerned that there wouldn't be any quality Sushi places. Sushi-ya Japan proved me wrong. Prices are average: Picked up two bento boxes and some additional maki on the side. No all-you-can-eat. Will definitely go back.

Always fresh, service is quick and friendly. Great place for lunch and dinner. I love that the place is not an all you can eat. The quality of the food is very good.

It's a nice little place with good food. Quiet and quaint. Food was nicely presented. There is parking on the street and across the street in the plaza.

Beautifully cut, fresh as tomorrow fish presented in a very traditional way. This is sushi true to its cultural origin. Service is quietly attentive.
