Sushi Yume - Reserva de mesa

I grew up in Okinawa, Japan, and my boyfriend is Asian, so it's no surprise that we both love sushi. We've dined at quite a few sushi places, often trying different spots, but ever since we discovered Sushi Yumi, we can't seem to stay away! The Hamachi Kama (yellowtail collar) is the best we've ever had. They also offer a 2-for-1 sake deal, which pairs perfectly with sushi. Recently, they’ve added some of our favorite specials, like Toro (fatty tuna) and uni (sea urchin). Most places serve only small portions of Toro, which I consider the dessert of sushi, but here... well, you really have to come and see for yourself!

However, it's the sushi that truly makes this place one of my local favorites. Most of their regular rolls are priced under $10 and are expertly crafted. The eel-avocado roll, in particular, stands out as the best I've had anywhere. They don't skimp on the eel sauce (or the eel itself), and the avocado is delightfully creamy without being mushy. If you're looking for a great deal, don’t miss their lunch special (available on certain days, so be sure to check the menu in advance if you're depending on these prices).

The sushi here is excellent! We picked up takeout on our bikes, but unfortunately, there is no designated bike parking available. We ended up securing our bikes to a handicap sign, which seems to be a common occurrence for commercial areas in the suburbs. I think it would be wise for the restaurant to invest in even a single inverted U rack, especially since more people are opting for bikes instead of cars for shorter trips, even in suburban areas. Just a heads up: be prepared for the lack of bike parking!

This is, without a doubt, the best sushi restaurant in the Denver metropolitan area. The service and quality are exceptional. I dine here at least 2-4 times a month whenever I'm in the vicinity. I would definitely consider this my favorite spot for any meal, whether it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner! The staff is wonderful, the service is prompt, and the prices are great! I truly adore this place!

We've been coming here for years! My kids have enjoyed "mommy-kid dates" here since they were 8 and 9 years old, and now they’re 23 and 24! But now it's closed? We’re all really sad about it!
