I ordered salmon and tuna sashimi, spinach gomai, black cod, and a roll. The sashimi, cod, and gomai arrived fairly quickly. However, the salmon sashimi had several bones, which I quietly pointed out and sent back. After that, I waited 30 minutes while the staff took a break, eating their food and looking at their phones without checking on me. They only started preparing my roll once their break ended. When I tried to explain the situation and asked if I had offended them, they remained silent, making the experience very frustrating. Poor service overall—I wouldn’t recommend this place. Sushivan in Vancouver is an excellent go-to place for a delicious sushi experience. The service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is welcoming and pleasant. I especially loved the eight-piece sashimi and the beef udon—both had fantastic flavors and generous portions. Overall, it’s a dependable and enjoyable spot for high-quality, comforting sushi.
