You should not judge this restaurant by its appearance. It has the charm of a cheap takeaway restaurant, but the food and value here is great!We came in with a group of six, all had different drinks and meals including some starters and liked all of them. Vegetarian or not, all food has good quality and is tasty, really authentic Indian food. In the end we came out paying less than 15 EUR per person for meal, starter and a drink or two. The value is great here as well.Even if the waiter had a lot of work to do (the place became full after we ordered) he was friendly and served our dishes after a short waiting time.I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good Indian foo...
Sweet chili has gotten even better! We've been going here for 5 years now and always thought the food was good. There is a fantastic choice of vegetarian/vegan foods. String hoppers, thosai, pittu and kottu rotti being some of our favourite Sri Lankan foods. Served alongside Sri Lankan vegetables. Today we had bread fruit, long beans, dahl, egg plant, ash plantains and some other curries. No cheap European veggies here. All splashed down with some Necto and Masala Tea with short eats in a bag to go. The prices are very reasonable. 2 mains (enough for a family of 4), 2 necto, 2 teas, 6 potato roti all for 25 Euro. I have been there with friends for dinner and had a few take aways also. The place itself is not very big, so if you want to go there with friends it is a good idea to book a table. The food is just great! During my stays in India I had quite a lot of good foo, an the food in Sweet Chilli is just the same, very authentically. Just a great place to get a bite!

I was delighted to find such delicious food in Dortmund! The restaurant doesn't look like much from outside, but inside you will find not only delicious food but also friendly service. We had the vegetarian curry menu for 2, which meant we got to sample 6 different curries served with roti. All delicious!
A small little restaurant just outside the ringroad, looks more cafe like than restaurant but the food is excellent value. The curries were not too hot and very flavoursome, a good cheap eat whilst in Dortmund.
Good place for authetnitc Indian / Sri Lankan cuisine in Dortmund. If you ask for it, they'll make it really spicy. Only the ambience could be nicer, staff is friendly and attentive.
Delicious and spicy food, great menu, friendly service. This is my favorite Dortmund spot. They never disappoint! Mein Lieblingsrestaurant!

Food is always good, prices are just right, sitting inside and out, book a table if you're going with more than just a couple friends.
Been here several times. Stuff is friendly, cheap food and big portions. Always a good choice! Would recommend.
