Sweet Mandy B's is undoubtedly the best bakery in Chicago. We will never choose another bakery for our birthday cakes; this place is a true gem. Every custom cake we've ordered from them has been flawless and worth every penny. Not only do they look stunning, but they also taste heavenly. They offer a wide variety of flavors to satisfy every taste, and they are always open to bringing your unique vision to life. They also provide delivery, which is a huge plus given the rising cost of taxis these days; I would gladly pay for that service again and again. No one wants to deal with picking up a cake on the day of an event, and they really alleviate that stress during these important occasions....

My daughter and I happened upon this place because she was picking up a delivery. The girl who placed the order suggested we go back and get something for ourselves and we did. When I tell y’all those lemon cupcakes were something out of heaven! My God! I also had a double doozie which was just as decadent. My daughter wants her birthday cake from there. I will drive from Indiana back up North to get one for her, that’s just how good those treats were.

I bought a pecan pie from here for my husband's birthday because it was the only thing he requested after the last one he had on Thanksgiving turned out poorly. Unfortunately, this pie was undercooked; the bottom crust was nearly raw, and the filling was overly juicy. I’m giving it two stars because the flavor was decent, and while I didn’t try anything else during this visit, I’ve had great experiences with their food in the past.

I recently had my birthday cake made by Sweet Mandy B's. The cake was beautiful and looked just like the picture. The cake tasted amazing moist, lemony, and perfect density. I will say, it seems they sprinkle the simple syrup on the cake layersbefore frosting, which made the overall cake a bit too sweet, but it still tasted great. I've heard great things about this restaurant from my niece, who happened to drive by on Mother's Day while treating me and my sister. I ordered the blueberry pancake, and it was absolutely amazing—so delicious! The flavors were fantastic, and the price is totally worth it. I highly recommend this spot for anyone who appreciates high-quality desserts. Five stars all the way!

The best bakery ever!! Their buttercream is like...no other!! The frosted sugar cookies lemon cupcakes are to die for!! So delicious!! Although everything I've ever tried there is delicious!! Just tried the chocolate covered mini cheesecake with mini cookies on top!!! It too was amazing!! The bakery decor is adorable also!!

Every time I come into Sweet Mandy B's I am always satisfied! Great place for everyone with a sweet tooth as big as mine! Great environment and friendly staff. I live about an hour away but for me there's always time for sweets! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

For me it’s *all* about the frosting. They make the best buttercream I can find. It makes me not want to eat other cakes; it’s not worth it. So glad SMBs is still around! I’ve been a customer since...forever.
