Sweet Mex. - Reserva de mesa

This is the best taqueria in Union City! I ordered a super burrito with carne asada, and it was incredible—much larger than what you find at most taquerias. The carne asada was juicy and not dry at all, and they certainly didn’t skimp on the portion. The complimentary chips were tasty; I'm not sure if they’re made in-house, but they were good. The salsa roja and salsa verde were just right—spicy and well-seasoned. I also enjoyed the agua fresca, which was a refreshing blend of strawberry and pineapple, complete with chunks of fruit. It was sweet and perfect for a hot day. This has quickly become one of my favorite spots!

I absolutely adore the ice cream, chips, and fruit, all prepared in a delightful Mexican style. There's a generous amount of chamoy and tahini on everything. The highlight is that they recently opened a small restaurant in the same location that serves authentic Mexican cuisine. Everything I've tried there has been delicious. The service is consistently great, and since all the items are handmade, it does take a little time to prepare, but it's definitely worth the wait. It's a cozy spot that can get quite busy, especially during peak dining hours, so be ready for a slight wait to place your order. You won’t regret it!

This is my go-to spot for a diablito—the best in the Bay Area! The Tamarind Diablito is incredibly delicious and refreshing, with just the right amount of spice. I’m sure my fellow Indians would enjoy this treat. In addition to that, they have an excellent mangonada and a variety of other ice creams. They also offer traditional Hispanic snacks, like Hot Cheetos topped with nacho cheese sauce and jalapeños. The savory food options are impressive too; I've tried their al pastor tacos, and they were fantastic. I can't wait to sample more of their menu!

i’m not mexican, but i came here because my friend said that it was really good, and i was not disappointed!! through sweet mex i got to become more familiar with mexican food and culture, and it’s always a pleasure to go to sweet mex because the atmosphere is super nice and the people are always kind really opened my eyes to a culture i was unfamiliar withAND THE FOOD IS SOOO GOOD, the ferrero richer ice cream is the best ? My daughters recently visited and purchased a pint of ice cream that cost more than $18. Unfortunately, it was only filled partway, which felt like taking advantage of my kids. This has been a recurring issue, and I’ve decided it's my last time supporting a business that treats children this way. For those who have been going to this place, the quality just isn't what it used to be. I can't recommend it—definitely a no-go!

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The food was outstanding, served up quickly and full of flavor. The tortilla chips were a bit thick, but the star of the meal was definitely the super burrito—I ordered the veggie version, and it truly lived up to its name. It was enormous, but every single bite was so delicious that it was easy to finish. I will definitely be returning!
