Swing's Coffee - Reservar una mesa

I absolutely adore this coffee shop! It's pricey, about a dollar more than another competitor (which is already expensive mind you), but I don't mind because I think this particular coffee shop has the best coffee out of all of the places I've been both domestic and abroad. So why did I take a star off if they're so good? Simply put I never know if this place is going to be open or not! Nestled just a hop skip and a jump from the White House, I forgo Peet's, Starbucks, and all the other usuals, only to find a note posted on the door that they're not open! The best for local DC coffee. Excellent drip, coffee, espresso drinks, etc. Forget other local spots like Compass, La Colombe, etc., they are not 100+ years old local like Swing's. I am delighted that the G Street location re-opened with most of the same friendly staff and a similar look and feel to the old spot. (Note: I know that THIS location is not 100+ years old, but the business is what I'm referencing in this post).

Love the coffee here and always get my light-medium roast coffee beens from here (locally roasted in Alexandria). Highly knowledgeable baristas. I appreciate Swing’s focus on the coffee producers’ working conditions and fair pay.

5/5 stars. Get a large latte with an extra shot of espresso- a must visit coffee spot in DC. a/o December 2023 all Swings locations make consistently similar coffee

Enjoyed my experience there. The coffee was great and the almond croissant was excellent.
