So tonight no dinner for me after I lost my appetite. Ordered seafood basket and was excited to dig in only to find out that it was raw!chips are like frozen for weeks and deep fried! Prawns still have some black marks on it which im not sure where it came from(either not fresh or too fresh that it wasn't cook!) so i immediately called them up and was told at first by the girl who answered to me "ok you talk to the cook" in a rude manner, but the cook did not bother to talk to me instead she left me hanging for about 4mins and then told me to bring them back the food!(as if they dont believe me that im not eating that sh*t) so i went there, and showed it to them, like all of them where on the...

Called up to order fish and chips on a Sunday afternoon. Specifically asked for "Well done". Collected my fish and chips, opened the bag when I arrived home to find under cooked soggy chips. I phoned to let the lady know my feedback. She suggested that they had been sitting there for a while (I had collected my fish and chips 25 minutes after I ordered??) I assume with a wait and 10 minutes cooking time that they could have been sitting there max 20 minutes. I've been ordering fish and chips for over 20 years and even left over chips the next day are still crispy!! She then said that over cooking them "ruins the oil"......... Again, I have been ordering "fish and chips"for over 20 years from...

We have not had the opportunity recently however, returned for a take away on the weekend just gone. Specifically ordered our selection of fish (Pink Snapper) with minimum chips. Proceeded to nearby river park and enjoyed a beautifully cooked piece of fleshy fish exactly as ordered. The boys have been consistent since they opened and, the move down the back of the arcade does not seem to have affected their service or standard.  We refuse to feed seagulls but had more than enough chips to do so! Nice to see they have prepared salads and add-ons available although we did not avail on this occasion. Fish is expensive now (everywhere) but, cheaper than trying to catch my own...

Worst customer service and rudest establishment in Perth.  I just tried to order fish and chips using a group on voucher expiry date today.  I waited 5 mins whilst the 3 people standing around chatting ignored me.  When they finally decided to serve me I said I want to use my group on voucher.  The chip fryer with a filthy jumper said "we don't do those on friday, it says so in the fine print" I said but it expires today.  He said "well you won't be getting it" I said then why do you have that it expires today if you won't honour it?  He said "that's group on's fault not ours."  I told him we wouldn't be back. Wow. This was once the best fish and chip shop in Perth and was my go to place for 20 years . I gave it a miss when they moved into their pokey little shop in the arcade-- no waiting area and difficult to park. Anyway I just gave it another go . The fish was soggy and wet ( seemed like it had been frozen ), the chips were the same , the serving was very small and overpriced compared to their opposition around the neighbourhood . Appears to be the same owners . Not sure what happened here but most probably high rents and they are cutting corners .. Won't be going back

I find it frustrating how expensive sustainably fished seafood is and that it is not clearly labelled as sustainable or not. Many people would assume the standard fish n chips is from Australia, however it comes from un-sustainable fishing Trawlers abroad. I learned this from the owner. He was quite rude in his manner when I asked about it (which was not a one off). The food was good and the price manageable with the Entertainment card discount, but the other aspects have left me very reluctant to return.

We have had love and luke warm relationship with Swish and Chips over the past 5 years, but tonight was definitely love. Chilli mussels were superb, plump, large and rich sauce. Kids pack generous,  juicy snapper and chips perfectly cooked and a grilled red emperor that was outstanding. After a disappointing meal a few months back we were reluctant to try again but are super glad we did. Really happy with a perfect fish and chip Sunday night feast. Great!

Had a craving for fish and chips tonight and regretted the decision to act on it. The calamari was rubbery and bland, the chips were barely salted... the fish was ok in texture but also pretty bland. Wouldn't go back.
