Sylvia's Restaurant & Lounge

..old style bar... lots of draft beer! I checked out the Bar at the Sylvia Hotel. There were lots of regulars.. (probably regulars at the old Checker's at the BW Sands, before they renovated to Parkside). Very busy bar on a sunny Friday afternoon, friendly bartenders... Ace (1st shift) and Luke (pm) .. they make you feel welcome! There is a M-F Happy Hour Menu from 3-6pm. There is a separate Dining room fron the regular Bar. Check it out!

Nice spot, decent service, and this is where the pros end. If I am paying 25 dollars for a meal, I expect it to at least have some substance to it. The firework specials that we ordered were simply shocking in size, with the fish dish lacking any carbs. Honestly they need to increase sizes of portions, even if it is just fries.

Wonderful setting and historic background story. Rooms are smaller but quaint so ask for an English Bay corner room (converted apartment) and definitely opt for the extra cost. Take some time to browse the photographic history of the hotel hung throughout the building. Then have a martini in the lounge at sunset.

I love staying at The Sylvia Hotel, the staff are awesome and very friendly. It's a unique old hotel, very comfortable. The lounge makes the best sangria...hands down. The food is great as well. It's awesome to across the street to English Bay. We watched the fireworks and just had to cross the street. Reserva una mesa ahora

As we travel the world, we have taken it upon ourselves to try calamari where ever we go. So far, The Sylvia serves the most tender and delicious. The lounge has been there, well.... forever and it is our go-to spot. Stop for a glass of wine and calamari. The view is the best in Canada!

Love this hotel, exceptionally well located at English Bay near Stanley Park, the staff are very welcoming and helpful, apparently in years gone by it was a favourite of Errol Flynn, if he was still alive today I believe it still would be, lovely old world ambience, recommend highly

We stay once a year at this awesome Hotel.. Can't say enough about the front desk staff the food is the best, breakfast, lunch dinner.. I would recommend the Sylvia to anyone. <3. Excellent STAY CATION. . Jo Poulan Lynda Thompson...

A brunch at the Sylvia Hotel is always a special event the food, the service and of course, the view and such a nice walk before a drive around and visit to Stanley Park. Our friends from the Philippines loved their day. Reserva una mesa ahora

great server in her 70's, younger ones should lean from her...prices are reasonable...also provide morning paper...

Great drinks, friendly service. The patio is the place to be after the sea wall.
