My friend and I ended up there after escaping from a restaurant with horrible music at nearby Naschmarkt. To be honest, it would not have been my choice as I had always wrongly associated Szegeti with an inferior brand of sparkling wine that...you would find at discount supermarkets. She told me that it was in fact a renowned Austrian (despite the Hungarian name) brand and her boyfriend often bought some bottles there to take home. Hands down, this was our favorite bar of the trip! I totally love the concept and wish there was one here at home in my California neighborhood. This bar sells Szigeti brand Austrian-made sparkling wines by the glass and by the bottle. There were about 10-12 different varieties available the night we were there. But it IS on the super-groovy Schleifmuhlgasse. There are 25 different varieties of Sekt on offer here, all one brand – Szigeti. This is not even remotely a tourist spot. The owner is always there, super knowledgeable about not only Sekt though that’s obviously...his specialty but wine, period. He doesn’t serve food other than chips crackers (really good crackers, in fact), but he’s got an arrangement where you can go to any restaurant on the street and get food to-go and bring it back to the bar eat it there. Ins Szigeti muss man immer wieder mal. Hier gibt es eine Riesen-Auswahl an unterschiedlichen Sekt-Sorten - das Durchkosten macht wirklich Spaß. Es ist recht klein und eng - dadurch aber auch sehr kommunikativ (der Sekt trägt wohl auch dazu bei). Service sehr aufmerksam und großzügig. Preis-Leistung durchaus in Ordnung. Und wer hungrig ist, kann sich vom nahegelegenen Naschmarkt selbst was mitbringen. We love it!

Super Wochenend Nachmittag im Advent! Frische Austern und herrlicher Welschriesling Sekt. Sektmobil von Sektkellerei Szigeti aus Gols direkt vor der Tür der Sektbar "Sektcomptoir" in der Schleifmühlgasse, nahe dem Wiener Naschmarkt. Gute Stimmung, nettes Personal, tolle Qualität und Geschmack französischer Austern und Österreichischem Sekt.

Am besten vorher am Naschmarkt eine Kleinigkeit für die Jause einkaufen um dann einen leckeren Szigeti Sekt dazu zu trinken. Der Barmann hilft gerne weiter wenn man mit der zu großen Auswahl überfordert ist. Ich komme immer wieder gerne mal wieder mit meinen Mädels vorbei um einfach ein gemütlichen Abend mit leckerem Sekt zu genießen.

Heute waren wir - seit längerer Zeit - wieder mal im Szigeti Sekt Comptoir in der Wiener Innenstadt: Gemütlich, freundliches und sehr aufmerksames Servicepersonal, der Pink Uhu absolut empfehlenswert! this is a must visit champagne bar near naschmarket. the bar manager was friendly, the prices were very reasonable and the bar had a fantastic atmosphere.

This is a gem of a bar. The quality of the sparkling wine on offer is excellent, with over 30 different wines to try, this bar is not to be missed!
