We’ve been coming here since they opened. This is an authentic Mexican (not Tex Mex) cheap fun restaurant. Excellent margaritas (order a second shot of tequila if you like your drinks strong) and guacamole. Real good homemade green and red salsas. I really like their tacos (the black bean one especially) and their quesadillas and deserts are real good too. (I’m less a fan of their tortas and their mole sauce – authentic but not the best.) But the best part of the experience is the fantastic bizarre decorations and, at times, films on the overhead TV (the first time we went it was a punk 1970s Czech film, with the sound turned off, as I recall). Definitely worth a visit.
Seriously, they make the best "tortas" I have eaten in Montréal, so fulfilling and a varied menu, offering things like mole con pollo, bacalao, chapulines and much more. Great food and good service!This restaurant in Mile-End is clean and well located, lot's of street parking and accessible via public transit. Even though it's a small place, I saw the staff was very accommodating with kids and their strollers.
This is a fantastic place for authentic Mexican food. The Tortas are the best. The Cactus salad was amazing. Tacos are superb, definitely try the fried crickets on top. Service is fast and friendly. Patio is good for people watching.
We had a great experience at this restaurant! The Pierna and Cubana tortas were absolutely delicious sandwiches. The atmosphere was nice, with both outdoor and indoor seating options. The customer service was excellent.

Wow! I am in love with their tortas (sandwiches)! I tried the steak milanese torta and it was absolutely delicious! The service was fantastic, the prices were reasonable, and the steak milanese was incredible.
It was promissing. But the staff was disorganized. Orders took too much time to process and were uncomplete. The atmosphere was good and the prices about fair. I might give it a second try.

This place has very good, authentic tortas. I have tried several but I keep going back to the torta cubana. I would say that not far from walking into a similar place in the DF.

It was once fantastic, and their ham and pineapple sandwiches continue to be a standout. However, they have recently expanded both their dining room and menu offerings.
