New owner, new cook!! Bravo has this boss and his team to have made this place a nice place, much better than before, better kitchen, quality dish, copious. Fresh meat from the butcher, for very attractive prices! The place is placed in a very charming setting in front of the fountain, has so pleasant shade. The waiters are super smiling, we have had a very good time in this bar tobacco restaurant that gives a new life to the village of besse-sur-isole that makes good! The bar also has evenings for the music festival and for the village so if you pass by, don't hesitate to eat a piece
The village bar tabac has much going for it during the day and evenings with plenty of characters as customers and working there. We eat there one night, a Saturday, when there was entertainment on in the form of Philippe Leroy, who appeared to be very well known by The locals present. The food was simple but very good and the house rose, from Domaine Bugani was also good. Despite the staff not speaking much English and me not speaking much French they were always good humoured and happy to help until my French was understandable!
Accueil souriant par le patron. Malgré la chaleur de Juillet, on peut manger sur la terrasse qui est ombragée et des plus agréable. Service rapide en fonction de votre temps, le patron est aux petits soins pour vous. Le tartare de saumon est excellent servi généreusement et très bien assaisonné, avec une salade composée ou légumes et frites. Une belle et bonne adresse donc.
While stiffer places like La Remise might offer slightly fancier food, Bar Tabac du Lac is a great relaxed choice in the centre of the village. With a good selection of fresh salads, pizzas and mains, friendly staff and decent prices, it's definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

A lot of people... Just a little snack for snacks. And then, it's just a small isolated village... that survives with its inhabitants.... Restoration for the noon to start. so it changes a bit of clientele for the summer season....
In the top ! Very good restaurant, reasonable prices! I ate a delicious salmon tartare and an excellent Burger! Beautiful pleasant terrace! We'll come back! Top notch service! Dish of the day €16. Prices from 10 to 20€.
We spent our first evening in Besse at this bar/ cafe. We had a drink but the food option was limited. Ok for an evening drink on a busy corner of the village. Don't expect any more...
I've been back there twice and I really enjoyed it Salad, steak, fries, very good including wine Nice atmosphere!
