Are you ready for a Portuguese dining adventure? If you are, then make a reservation and go! *Note: the restaurant is closed for staff holiday the first two weeks of August 2023 with the last reservation being the end of July. Book weeks in advance as seating is very limited with only one seating at 7:30 pm. Reservations are required and are made through their Facebook page. The menu is prix fixe, a multi-course meal at a fixed price (not including alcohol or beverages) The chef creates the menu for the day. Our experience started with appetizer after appetizer. Small servings of bread with local cheese and pumpkin jam, cold melon soup shot, cured meats, olives, fava beans, salad with ginger...
Well...the only word that comes to my mind is superb! Cosy and typical restaurant! The concept is 30 seats 30 customers no double or triple service. The point is to serve the client the best way possible to give a different experience in service with more proximity and time to enjoy the meal. The meal...from the entries, to the principal dish, the wines and the deserts all are a big surprise! You don't know what to expect because you don't order anything...you have to trust the owner and let me tell you...just let it go! Wow it was all fantastic! The food is so good! The service is so fun and pleasant! It was an awesome experience. We'll come back for sure!
Experimentamos um jantar incrível aqui no início de abril de 2024! Não há menu a refeição é definida e composta por uma surpresa após a outra ao longo de mais de 2 horas. O proprietário e seu filho oferecem um excelente serviço genuíno e despretensioso, e a comida era excepcional. Adicione a isso uma excelente selecção de vinhos e um ambiente intimista, e saímos completamente satisfeitos e com uma excelente 'refeição de memória '.
I took 5 friends there after a couple of Portuguese friends recommend it. We arrived and everything was ready. As many people mentioned before we were treated like family. The food was outstanding, Portuguese at heart but with some interesting twists. The recommended wine was also outstanding. We left full and very happy.
