"A beautiful restaurant that makes you feel at home. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We had only 45 minutes to eat because we had to catch our train and he made sure we would be on time. On top of that, the food was also great. I Would definitely recommend during your stay in Mérida."

We stopped by Merida for a few hours and we found this nice restaurant in the centre of the city, just a few minutes walking from the Roman theatre. The place looks cosy and attractive and is decorated with authentic agricultural tools and vegetables typical from this area of Spain. We had two lunch meal deals each one including a starter, main and dessert. I had courgettes filled with cheese and ham as a starter and my partner had a gazpacho (soup). Then we both had terneiro with vegetables. Our puddings were fruit and flam. All was delicious and also portions were quite generous. I would highly recommend this place to anyone interested in tasting products typical from Estremadura at a reasonable price just a few steps from the main archeological sites.

The personal service we experienced was out standing, the meal consisted of Jamon Iberico fresh vegetables from their garden , and escalibada de pimientos for appetizers, Abanico de cerdo and chuletillas de Cordero (lamp chops) vey nice bottle of local wine, topped of with Bombones de Higo (figs) and coffee, very well prepared foods , I highly recommend this restaurant

Home-made proximity food. Well cooked, you feel as if you were having a meal in one of the private Merida houses. The owner is very sensitive to gluten intolerance and advised us very well. Almost all dishes were gluten-free, as they do their own sauces, etc. Special mention for their green beans with ham. Good value for the money.

Not to far away from Diana Tempel. I use to eat there when I have to go to Merida. The personal is really nice and helpful if you ask. I love the orange salad... let be surpise with the taste of this incredible intercultural delicacy. The whole menu is made with regional ingredients and with the most absolute high quality.
