Normally this is a great place for an American style taco. Today it was horrible. My cheese crisp with meat had 3 pieces of hamburger on it, the tacos had poor flavor and the nacho Supreme was neither Supreme nor was it what I would call nachos. It was a plate of chips with a very small amount of topping dead center. The picture on the wall verses what we got were vastly different. We complained and the staff just shrugged and said oh well. We asked for more toppings and the girl brought one small salsa deal. My taco had more toppings than the entire nacho plate had so I put some of my second tacos topping on my fiancé nachos.
I was quite surprised by the low quality of the food; the meat was bland and lacked flavor. This was my first time visiting this restaurant, and since I’m not local, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I suppose there must be enough people who enjoy this place to keep it in business, but unfortunately, it just wasn’t for me.
Me and my son stopped in to have lunch. We ordered our food at 12:09. At 12:50 we still did not have our food. They did not apologize or even seem to care that we didn't get served. They might as well just close their business. There was a whole restaurant full of people with no food.November 22 2023.
Much better than last summer we where there.everything was hot and fresh made.glad we gave it another chanceIt used to be our favorite place to eat when we were in Helena.it was sold ,and went to hell.they have improved.still not as good as first owners.

Inedible food. Everything was disgusting!Had to throw everything in the garbage. The tots with cheese on them was hard as a rock. I used to hear great things about Taco Treat but seems as it isn’t good anymore. Will definitely not be returning.
This place would be packed at 2:00AM in a college town and most likely would have to fight off Taco Bell corporate to stay in business because it's what Taco Bell should have been. Their food is delicious and their staff friendly.
Afternoon seems just fine. Good crew and your food doesn't take to long.Evening/night crew is the complete opposite. I don't think they even care about the customer's.
Disappointed with Taco Treat's rising prices and declining food quality after decades of patronage. Considering exploring alternative dining spots in the future.

I would give it a 3.75 for a taco? It only costs 0.37 to make, so Taco Bell and Taco John's are looking way better now! I won't be returning.
