First, I want to highlight that the service was excellent. The host and waitress were very attentive, and our food arrived quickly. Unfortunately, the food itself was disappointing. It was by far the worst sushi I've ever had. Most of it had a sour smell and taste, which was off-putting. As for the rolls that were less questionable in flavor, they were filled with an excessive amount of rice—about 90%, which was quite comical. The amount of fish inside was severely lacking; for example, the "Hawaii 5O" roll had hardly any eel and was mostly just fat. My husband's roll was labeled as snow crab, but it turned out to be imitation crab meat. We chose to stop eating halfway through, worried about...

Great mom and pop style joint that we hit on our way out of the island. Service was prompt and friendly. Atmosphere is honestly quite cozy boxes for random stuff in a corner, Christmas lights hanging on the walls, posters for Japanese beers, and a very impressive liquor display behind the sushi bar. Server was very helpful in deciding what to order. Food was absolutely delicious! I had the medium fatty tuna, yellowtail, and salmon nigiris, along with a Cali roll, and inhaled it all despite not being super hungry...the salmon was especially delicious. I discovered this restaurant while searching for a diner, and I'm so glad I did! The steak was cooked to perfection, and the deep-fried baby carrots and tempura asparagus were exceptional. The service was outstanding—my server, Audra, was incredibly polite and attentive. The atmosphere reminded me of intimate Japanese restaurants in Japan, which I loved. It would have been even more nostalgic if we could have sat on the floor. Overall, I had a wonderful experience here!

My husband and I stopped by for a quick early dinner. We ordered tenzaru soba with tempura, and the tempura was exceptional. As we were the first dinner customers, the head chef treated us to a small appetizer of sliced cucumber accompanied by tempura fish, sweet chili sauce, and mayo. It was delightful. The food was good, and the service was great. I had a piece of salmon and it was cooked perfectly. The server did her best to take care of my table. In general, we had a good time. The only negative was that the price was more expensive than I thought. I understand that's how it is everywhere, but I wish the price would be a little lower.

This stuff is amazing. More 5 star reviews are bound to come! Chefs are really nice and great at making sushi! :D More people should try it! Kid-friendliness: Gave [name, sister] free fish eggs and she loves them :D

Definitely authentic. Delicious food. Everything was on point. Great staff. Highly recommend reservations especially if you want to sit at the sushi bar as that area needs at least 48-hrs advance notice.

Seriously good sushi. Very authentic. I highly recommend calling in to reserve a table and ask about when the sushi chef is in to sit at the sushi bar.
