During a short break in Mid Wales with my wife and dad, we stumbled upon a hidden gem at this little pub. Upstairs, we discovered a spacious and beautifully furnished flat that had everything we needed to explore Aberystwyth and beyond. The pub downstairs was cozy, with friendly staff and locals. The food was excellent and they had a great selection of ciders and beers. I would highly recommend Tafarn y Gors to anyone looking to visit Aberystwyth without the hustle and bustle of the town center.
i had an awful stay in the flat above. i went to cook the kids some pizza and the oven monster hopped out and broke my hip. and to top it off every day and night there was people being really loud in the pub from 3 pm till 1 am. wouldnt even wish my worst enemy to this place. absolutely disgusting hosts too the breakfast was shreddies in a dirty plastic tub and milk that was a day out of date.
We stayed in the apartment above the pub which is large and comfortable. A little noise from downstairs when there are a few people in but that is to be expected. If you have had a few drinks before bed, this doesn`t bother you as you will soon be asleep. A lovely place to stay with all the comforts of home.
We have had Sunday lunch here on a number of occasions always a warm friendly welcome, great service and the food is great and plentiful. This week we took friends to share this little gem with them. If you can manage a dessert after the large roast dinner then the puds are all home made and delicious!

What can be here 5 times new all startes we stunning had 1 prawn cocktail 2 garlic mushrooms and 3 garlic bread main meals 1 mixed grill 3 rib eye steak 1 gammon 1 chips ham and egg and all meals stunning family love this place and staff can.nt do enough for you if there was a 10 it would have 10/10
I recently visited Tafarn y Gors for a meal and was extremely pleased with my experience. The steak was cooked perfectly, the atmosphere was friendly, and the prices were reasonable. I will definitely be returning for more delicious meals. Thank you to Gary and Karen for a great dining experience.
The accommodation and rooms are lovely, but be aware that there is no WiFi available. I would have enjoyed dining in the pub, but unfortunately it was permanently closed. Overall, not a place I would choose to stay at again compared to my last visit.
A warm welcome was received immediately as we entered the building Lunching with friends we experienced a freshly cooked meal, nicely presented served with a friendly smile. Can’t recommend the venue enough yes will definitely returning

Good spacious accommodation above a pub just outside of Aberystwyth, **** shower, a bit noisy when the pub is full, but a good location and well equipped for a few nights stay. Parking is fine. Good value for money. Pub was fine too.
Was pleasantly surprised a fantastic welcome clean and tidy flat great food very friendly locals. Nothing to much trouble.
