the tagine has a directive in which guests must spend a minimum of food. this policy is not specified at the time of booking or on the website. if the guests do not meet these minimum information, the management team / waiting staff presses the guests to order more or leave during my experience, my friends and I ordered several starters with the intention of ordering netzen after. we have also brought our own alcohol according to the BYOB policy. the owner who could not guarantee that we would go on to the main courses, told us that he was “not earning money” and that we should order or go more. from this experience, I believe that the minimum effort is about a starter mains per person....re...

I came here last year with a group of friends for a birthday celebration and we pretty much had the restaurant to ourselves as it was empty. Empty for a Sunday evening is a bit unusual however. The interior makes up a beautiful Moroccan themed restaurant with its traditional furniture. The dim lighting also makes it perfect for an intimate meal The menu offers a range of tagines and meat dishes. I ttought it was great. I'm not local but I still make a trip to Balham to go to this restaurant. The food is excellent and the bring your own alcohol makes it very reasonable. The atmosphere and authentic decor makes it an experience and not just a meal. They have belly dancers at the week-end which is great. I can't resist the lamb barbouk tagine with prunes, almonds, poached pear and sesame seeds. A couple had the lamb meshwi to share and the rest of us were delighted there was more than enough left over for us to try. Zizou and all the staff were charming as ever. I wish they would open a branch nearer me! Thanks for a great night. D

For our mains, we both had tagines. What else could we have in a restaurant with this name? I had the tagine makfoul, three large chunks of tender chicken on the bone cooked with Moroccan spices and with a tomato sauce on top, and Mrs BYO had mamounia tagine, lamb shank cooked with chickpeas and aubergine We had a couple of sides to share: saffa coucous (saffron-flavoured couscous with sultanas), the flavour of which was too delicate for me – I couldn’t taste the saffron; and merguez batata harra, potatoes diced in the same way as you’d find patatas bravas in a tapas restaurant... NO THX. I don't recommend this restaurant at all !!! We use this restaurant for once as my mate had B day and we wanted to try something new.We left very disappointed as staff was UNBELIEVABLY SLOW!!! it was pricey and it didn't worth it.If you want to drink alcohol you have to bring it yourself.You would expect that staff is from wherever else just not Polish.When we asked waitress to take picture of us she told us that she ll be back in the minute what never happened.Instead of that she went behind the bar drinking ... PURE DISAPPOINTMENT

to name tagine, it's not a brain we had to order in the day. that were some of the best days I've ever had. hot and so full of taste. And even though I'm not the biggest fan of kumin and obstinate in my hearty spits, I was knocked by the aromes here. most of the main dishes were 12-15 pounds each and the portion size was very generous. I love the interieur with the low tables and chairs, kisses and colored lights. even better was the fact that they get 20% of the price of their meal the most days when they dinate 7 a.m.

AVOID TERRIBLE. The worst restaurant I've ever been to (Really). Better service at a homeless soup kitchen. The starters tasted like something out of a pasta sauce jar. Shisha smokers, PLEASE stay away shockingly bad shisha!!. When we did complain, the waiter said what do you want me to do ridiculous. The only good thing was the tea which came out of a tea bag. Spend your hard earned money else where.
