Visited as the restaurant is situated on route to the centre of Dussledourf.I'll start by saying that the interior is really cute and traditional. The service was friendly too.Decided to have a set meal for 2, which consisted of; mixed starter (I use the words mixed lightly there, for which I'll explain shortly, popadom and pickle, soup, 3 curries, rice & nan and mango and ice cream. All for £30.00pp (approx). I personally think it's a high price, in comparison to previous Indian establishements I've eaten at, however, I love Indian food and we gave it a go.Popadom. Literally 1 snapped in half with 3 tiny pots of sauce. Completely ridiculous. The popadom seemed very dry too.'Mixed starter' -...

Decor is good, inviting and interesting. Restaurant was quite empty though on a Saturday evening which was a little strange (we walked past a packed Chinese restaurant a minute or so down the road). We had a set meal (2 people):HALF a popadom each - laughable really but didn't order any more as they had a chewy texture.Soup is very salty - not awful but definitely won't be to most people's taste.Mixed starter is ok, but would benefit from fewer fried veg replaced with a samosa or onion bhaji. We ordered onion bhajis separately which were really good. The lamb kebab in the starter was really good. The mains were quite dull with only a couple of pieces of meat in sauce - really not enough meat i...

I was really looking forward to my meal at this restaurant as I had received a couple of recommendations about it from friends. The initial feeling was good, with a friendly greeting and a well served wheat beer. However, after ordering I had to wait 45 minutes for a starter, and then have to request cutlery to eat it with! I then had to wait a further 55 minutes for a main course to arrive and unbelievably had to ask again for a knife and fork! I could have understood the delay had the restaurant been exceptionally busy but it wasn't. To be fair the waiters were undoubtedly trying their best but they need more kitchen staff to get the food out in a timely manner. (One table left whilst I wa...

I liked the décor, the service was attentive, and the atmosphere was fine - I had high hopes for a genuine Indian delight. However, the food suffers from the usual Germanic palliation, becoming slightly less interesting and unfulfilling in terms of depth. I've often described this as "different colour, same taste."Don't get me wrong, it's not bad but the only solids in my main dish were the tender pieces of chicken. If you like meat and gravy, this is great but I was left wishing for more variety. The poppadums were thin and crispy to the point of explosive, the onion bhaji starter could have been crispier, and were missing a touch of chilli heat; and the accompanying lacklustre (undressed) s... The first time was Ok... but the second...The menu:1. Vegetarian starters mix-plate for 2 persons, around 11 eur: -4 small, thick breaded and fried cauliflowers -6 potato slices, thick breaded and fried-2 poor samosa made from cauliflower and potato(when we told the waiter that there was to much potato he just laught)2.Chicken Korma with raisins, cheese and cashews for around 13 eur:- 4 small pieces of chicken with no raisins, cheese or cashews to see. When we told the waiter he took the plate and replaced it for anotherone with almonds instead of cashews... wenn we told him there where no cashews, he laughted again...3.Chicken Tika Masala for around 12 eur:- again... 4 small pieces of chick...

It's always hard to review Indian restaurants when you come from London and are so spoilt by so many great ones. European countries outside of the U.K. rarely delivery quality in my experience and this was no exception. A ghastly meal served by people who had no connection to India at all. This is more of an Indian "themed' place. There is NO authenticity here. They had even ran out of bottled Kingfisher and Cobra beer. The onion bhaji was just awful. It should be renamed a salt bhaji. Horrible. Curry was like a boil in the bag one, as was the rice. Naan bread was ok though. I beg you, don't go here. You will be very disappointed. Hugely overpriced too. 45 euros for one person. Starter, main...

We were in Dusseldorf for shopping and it was noon so we thought to have lunch and preferred to go to a Turkish one but when searched on Google, this restaurant was on top, so changed our preference :D.We order Samosa (typical Indian snack, available in every corner of India) and two sprite. The main course we ordered was a Garlic Naan, Dal Makhni and Sahi Paneer. Normally with every dish, you get a bowl of rice enough for one person. But here we got only one bowl. The quantity was okay. The total bill was 34 Euros. Which is quite expensive.

A wonderfully attentive group if waiters. Really top class and made our night one to remember. They all spoke a number of languages which really helped make everyone feel welcome. Superb choice of food at ok prices, not too cheap but not too dear either. Food enjoyable, although could have been hotter when it arrived at the table. Decor was lovely. Superb location and easy to find. Would definitely recommend. Reserva una mesa ahora

The mango lassi was sour. The vegetable was very bad in taste. Inexperienced waiter who did not know the ingredients mentioned in the menu card.
